Yeah just recently bought my first 240(1995) and i already want to do a Kouki front end conversion. I just don't know if i should take it to a shop to do it or if anyone on here can help me out please. would really appreciate it!
First off there is a conversion and aero tech area for this. As far as your questions I have a few for you to think about. How much time do you have working on cars? Then how much body work have you done? If a shop does it yes it's gonna cost a penny or 2. If you do it you'll learn something and be able to help the next guy with the same questions. If you have no experience with body work it could cost more then the shops depending on how many time you mess up. Trust me it's gonna happen. I've been banging the color of my car for years just to work on my painting and body work. Yes it seems like a waste of $$$ but I'm learning and getting better. So it's really up to you bud. Good luck with build.
First off, please don't kill another Zenki. Zenki luvr 4 life! Second, if you have basic mechanical knowledge you can do it. If you don't know the difference between a boxed-end or open-end wrench, leave it to the pros.
i just don't really see any nice Zenki out there and plus i really like the front end of the Kouki...if i can find some clean zenkis then maybe ill keep it that way
I see alot of nice Zenki's but I still think the Kouki's look more mean. I want to fab up my own lights that delete the two piece, so that I can remove the one in the fender and clean it up like that. I just don't think it will turn out that good if I keep the zenki shape. I do love the ROTM's zneki to death though. Little jelous lol
Removing the corner marker might be illegal. Check your local laws.
I wanna make the corner marker work in the main light some how. probably make it fit inside the top outer coners. You will see lol. "That will become my at home on cold snowy lazy indoor days when im sick of COD MW3" project
Yeah, I know what you mean, but it still might not be on the corner "enough." Does that make sense? Just check to make sure you don't get screwed on the deal.

oh k, I know what you mean to. never thought that would matter. ill look into it. thanks for the advice.
Headlights became "combination" lights the last few years, where they began to incorporate side markers (And turns). That doesn't work when your headlight assembly doesn't go to the edge. It's an illegal and expensive idea. I've seen black/smoked corners, and it looks weird given the amount of chrome-like material on the Kouki headlights. If you darken those two, now you look like a mustang.

well for almost the same price for one you could of bought a kouki. but the conversion shouldn't be too complicated. assuming it's the same for say an itr conversion. you would need front fenders, head lights, hood, radiator suport, head light rack. guessing somewhere around 1,200 for the conversion. shouldn't be too hard good luck. and to match go with 5 lug. and kouki interior then you will be super baller man.
