Hi everyone, my name is Chris and I live in Covington, Georgia. I don't own a 240 yet but I'm starting some research on getting one for a project car. I currently drive a 2005 Ford Focus an uh...I don't know jack about 240s...yet. Hopefully with some help from people on this I will soon though.

My name is andrew, I just picked up a 93 Hatch STD 5spd. for $1,150 with 186K miles.

The good: mechanically drives perfectly, came with 16 inch rims.
The bad: lots of scratches, a dent, one turn signal lens is cracked, 1 running light on the back is cracked, seats had a tear, creaks when you open passenger door, shift boot is torn, one of the things holding passenger seat in place rusted completely off. Dirty as hell

Front rims I cleaned the spokes, rears didn't

So far I replaced my front seats with other stock seats that I got for free.
Plans: $2000 budget for car + modifications.
Car: $1,150
Sell rims(400-500)
Sub total - $650
use my spare advan knock offs to drive around for now -$0
bring interior back to normal look(shift knob, shift boot, floormats)-$100
bring exterior back to decent(new lens) - $50, new air filter $50
get a cd player - $100
Sub total - $950
Then do suspension
Rear Sway bar $150
Coil Oversr $500-700
Strut bars $100(maybe ebay if they look decent)
Sub total - $1700-1900

The extra $100 is for unexpected stuff.

Chris, been on these boards for a while Recently in march, bought a White 93 FB SE. 5Spd No mods done yet but soon will happen. Leather Interior previous owner covered all the tweed in the car and replaced it with leather, really nice, cant take credit for that. Saving up for a swap, but pouring money into suspension.. what can i say "I Heart teh 240"

Hey there, my name is Apollo, I'm new to this forum and I wanted to join because I want to gather all the information I can regarding a 240SX before I buy one. I've been driving a Camry and I can't drift with it, so I want a really good drifting car. If I buy one, I also want to know the best drift settings and modifications for drifting. As you can see I'm drifting fanatic. I don't know of much about drift events, but I really want to go to one. The only one I know about is D1 Grand Prix. I've been thinking of going to Irwindale Speedway but I have no idea of how to get a ticket. Well anyways, thanks for reading my post and if you can help me in anyway please PM me or post in reply. Thanks.

Names Brian and I'm from upstate Ny. 19, not currently a 240 owner yet but Im working on changing that. The first time i saw one was a 97 in a parking lot and I thought it looked great when kept simple. Looked into some specs, read some threads in forums, and countless articles. So I'm sure I want one now.

I'm currently driving a 97 MonteCarlo Ls, not sure if its stayin or goin.

As far as the future purchace, I'm looking for a 97-98. Dunno if i like the S15 conversion so much but its a possibility. I dont know much about the gains from the sr20det but the front end body conversion has been a bit overdone.
At least around here it seems...

So yea... thats me and, y I'm here...

Haayyy. I'm Anne. I've had my '90 240 (gold, hatch) for over 5 years now. I adore it. I was getting ready to junk it in September because it had so many miles on it (164K) and I dropped the clutch again, but heard something about some swap that was wildly popular and decided it'd be something fun to do (I've got a few other cars so the 240 isn't my DD). Now that it's summer and I'm only taking 7 courses (Colorado State, Go RAMS!), I'll have time to get it done, I've never done a swap, but I have some Wrenches for friends, so we'll see how it goes... and yup, I've been rockin' the Search.

Cool

Hi everyone names Russell Ferguson. Never posted on a forum before so if I do something stupid do not blaze me to bad, but please tell me what I screwed up so I do not do it again. I am a married father of two here in the mountains of North Carolina. I have two jobs to afford my hobbies. I work for Simmons Guitars building custom basses and I work for the state. I own 4 cars 91 240 sx hatchback bone stock for now. This car is driven 100 +/- miles per day so severe performance mods will be out. The only thing I have done to the car is to remove the speakers, door panels, and grills to build custom fiberglass panels to accept larger and better sounding speakers and recover the cloth portion of the doors. They were pretty worn. This car is awesome it makes driving fun and on a near hour drive to work at 2:30 am that cam be hard to do. The next two cars are boring 95 Taurus se and a 03 Gallant. The last Car is a little more fun 1971 RoadRunner. You can call a nice body a stack of parts and a dream a car ??? Cant you
As for now the 240 is all I have time for so I will search for all the info I can to build this car right. There are not any real car shops in this area so I will have to do most of the work myself and may need all the help I can get. Thanks for all the info and the great site feel free to message me if you want to talk or have good info on shops or events in the area I would love to here from you.
