question on US 240 to JDM silvia front end change

I just proudly became the owner of a 93 240 coupe and want to do a s13 front end change. Do all I need is the hood, hood hinges, fenders, lights, grill, and brackets? Do they just fit onto the frame with the screws, or do I need other parts? Thanks for any info

You don't need hood hinges.
The only thing your missing is a bumper and a brain.
They are bolts, not screws.

This can be answered by a search, but I will entertain you. You will need the following from a JDM S13 Silvia:
(1) Silvia Hood, not 180sx/240sx
(1) Silvia Bumper with support. Can be Js,Qs, or Ks or of course aftermarket...
(1) Set of Silvia Fenders
(1) Set of Silvia Headlight brackets
(1) Set of blinkers which mount next to the...
(1) Set of Headlights. Can be dual/triple projector or the Halogens
OPTIONAL...(1) Grill centerpiece, can be OEM or GTR which seem to be the most popular.

For the hood, you will need your USDM hood brackets if ordering an aftermarket hood in most cases (CF). Also, if going FRP or CF, use hood pins and remove the latch. Get locks for the pins if you are worried about theft as well.

You will need some (8mm) nuts to fasten the stock bumper to the fenders and you can re-use the bolts that were originally being used in the engine bay (3), near the door jambs (2-3) and the (2) under the car. Same with the bolts for the headlight brackets. If using an 89-90, the A/C condenser fan may get in the way and need to be shaved or cut. You can wire the fogs for the projectors using the button for flipping your current pop-ups and then wire the lights themselves using the existing set. The blinkers (clear portion) will be inline with the bumper lights and the amber portion plugs right into the existing socket.

Headlight bulbs use H3C in several applications... on the Dual Projector housings, it's used on the lowbeam and the fogs, and on the Triple Projector housing, its used on the fogs as well, while the low beam is a H1. H3C is only available in Japan or specialized dealers. There is a site with some helpful info on the conversion with existing H3 bulbs here: http://www.absoluteprelude.com/h3conversion.html

Or buy them here:
http://www.classicgarage.com/classic...85wclearh.html
http://www.lightingresearch.com/clear_halogen.htm

The grill is simple, just mount the tabs on the headlight hole locations and enjoy.

Anyways, the parts are all available on ebay for sure or clip sellers, other boards, etc. It is not rocket science to swap old panels.

Those bulbs say "H10" on them...
They are the same as regular H3 bulbs, except the connector is different, using two "prongs" instead of the one hot wire. You can use regular H3 bulbs on the foglight part, but you have to play around with it for a while to get the wires to clear. Also, on the dual projectors, the lowbeam isn't a H3C, its a regular H3. You don't have to modify the dual projectors in any way to use H3 bulbs for the fogs, there is already a place to connect the stock ground wire to in the housing, and the stock hot wire leading to bulb will mate perfectly fine with the H3 tail/hotwire/whatever.

Chill mang, I was funnin.
Its a really easy conversion to do.
Take the old stuff off, put the new stuff on, very simple.
You don't even need any more hardware, you should have a couple bolts left over actually. The hardest part is getting those god danm inner fender splash gaurds back on. Be carefull taking the corner lights off as well, as the brackets that screws(it really is a screw, not a bolt) to the top of the headlights hits the tips of the fenders and can break the bracket off. Don't worry if you break them, I broke mine and the corners stay there without them.

Which bulbs, the H3C? That is why I was saying that they were different. I DON'T SEE HOW AN H10 would fit in there though, as the socekt is not made for that.

Check your notes again. You may have a pre-modified set of lights.
This is from the FAQ on zilvia from a mod who is in Japan right now...

Halogens:
Foglamps - H3c
Hi/Lo - H4

Dual Projectors:
Lowbeams - H3c
Highbeams - H3
Foglamps - H3c

Triple Projectors:
Lowbeams - H1
Highbeams - H3
Foglamps - H3c

There it is.
for the turnsignal/marker lights (side lights, not bumper), it's just 194 wedge bulbs.

you can also use the manual headlight popup button for the yellow fog lights if your silvia lights have them
