Thumbs up Custom Door Inserts

After seeing the tutorial on removing that ugly carpet on the door panels i decided to give it a go. Looked real simple...WRONG!!! My carpet did no come off a fraction as easy as the pictures in the tutorial seemed to make it look. My end result was pretty mangled... the black part underneath all bubbled and lifting off. So at this pointi decided to get it done right and hit up an upholstery shop with my panels and my glovebox as well. Here are the results!!!

BEFORE

REMOVING THE CARPET

CARPET REMOVED
I ended up using a razor blade to help remove the carpet...see all the cuts =[

How much did it cost to have the door panels re done. I have some extra suede from my headliner and would love to ball that much harder with suede.

Thanks for all the positive feedback =]

Iit cost me only $260 CAD to redo the panels AND my glovebox.
I was thinkin suede for a bit but leather will stay clean way easier.
