Jank Ass Walmart Wiring Harness

The only wiring harness I could find was as my friend calls it "The Jank Ass Walmart Harness". Anyway we've matched all the colors and did the ground to the bolt that holds the cd unit in place. It doesn't power on and we checked the fuses they are not blown.

I have an Alpine CDA-9847 and of course .. "Jank Ass Walmart"

The antenna is plugged in as well? By matchin up the colors, did you make sure all the wires were the same? some harnesses swap colors. Chances are they don't, but occasionally they do. White/Grey/Purple/Green are speakers...Orange Illumination. Red 12volt, Yellow Ignition. Blue Rem Turnon, Blue w/ stripe Power Antenna lead. Black Ground...obviously...Radio fuse isn't blown as well i'm assuming?

Antenna is not plugged in because it needs an adapter or something. I am by passing all the other speaker wires since I'm going RCA to Amp then Amp to Speakers.

the S13 antenna connection is a coax one, its got its own funky like 3 prong connector, its really shitty, I paid 12 bucks for the connector and i dont even use the radio.

It was the Antenna, bought an adapter and it works now, but were having problems with the passenger side handle screw major. Oh well left side is going good though.

Same thing happened to my 01 Alty. It seems like alot of Nissans have issues with that. Antenna sometimes needs to be plugged in, it's another type of ground for the radio i'm assuming.

the wallmart harnesses are just fine. its wires with a plastic connector how bad could they be. thats where i got mine from worked the first time i hooked her up. check your wire color.

yellow is the dimmer
red power and
black is ground

i had to make my own ground you might also. try touching the black wire to somthing metal on it car.

The only reason it works with the antenna plugged in is because it grounded the deck. Get a better ground, grounding through antennas is jank in itself. you will have much better reliability if you do that.
