wiring a stanza electric dual fan in s13

First you have to remove mechanical fan and condensor fan. Then what i did was take my condisor fan motor(small electric fan in front of radiator) and replaced one of the dual fan motors with that motor, so that fan would connect to the factory wiring harness connector and will turn on when you turn the A/C (do not forget to connect the condensor fan connector together). On the stanza duel fan setup there are 4 wires, black, yellow, green and blue. the yellow and blue wires are for the 1st speed which is push and the black and green wires are for the 2nd speed which is pull. You want to use the black and green wires, you can tape off the other two wires you dont use. You run the green wire to a 12v ignition in the fuse box and ground the black wire. This will turn the fan on when you start the car and work in place of the belt driven fan which you should have already removed. Then you will notice that the dual fan shroud needs to be shaved down on the sides to fit behind the radiator, after you shave the sides down to fit install and zip tie or bolt the fan to the radiator. Then turn the ignition to the on position and see if the one fan come on and then start the car and turn on A/C and see if the other fan comes on. Then drive and take notice to the cooling gage and how it is cooling. also notice a little more power from no belt driven fan.

Nice how to. Next time I see a stanza in the junkyard I'm for sure gonna jack the fans!

A couple of critiques: maybe you should put a few paragraphs in there, and a picture would be great.

or you can hook up the fan to the same power source and run a ground wire from the fan into your car .. hook up that end to a switch and then run another wire from the switch back out to another ground that way you can control the fan whenever you want

ground---------------switch-----------ground

Yep any KA powered Sentra. Another thing to look at but dont hold me to it is the spacing where you bolt the fans to the radiator should be right about 16.5 inches. The reason im saying dont hold me to it is because I have a Skyline radiator. I have measured the stanza fan setup and it is right at 16.5 inches.

if you read the post it is not ghetto rigged. when I said that I replaced one of the sentra fan motors with the original fan motor that went to the condenser fan on my 240 was so I would not be ghetto fying the connections, it connected to the original connector on the harness which is run off of the temp sensor.
The way I have it hooked up is the cooling fan turns on when you start the motor and the condenser fan turns on when it reaches a certain temperature and when you turn off the motor the cooling fan turn off also, SO THERE IS NO MANUAL SWITCH THAT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER TO TURN OFF. If you would have read the whole post you would have known that. I'm sorry if that sounds like im being an asshole, im not trying to be one I mean it in a joking manor. cool?

Murphy, The fan you have pictured is not the fan that I used. the fan I used has the same size fans on both sides. hope that helps if not just ask me what you need to know and I will be glad to help you anyway I can. thanks

Oh I forgot, the fans are from a 92 stanza
