Possibly a bad fuel injector?

How's it going? Im new to this whole nissan thing and I have a 93 240sx convertible.

I'm pretty sure one of the cylinders isn't getting fuel. (the one furthest back) I just purchased my 240 August and I haven't driven my 240 in a few months, so when I started it up the other day it idled a little differently then I remembered...although it may have always been that way... I was already going to change the spark plugs, so I turned it off and when I got to the last plug it was almost completely clean. So the plug arcs when touched to metal, but the engine runs no differently with the plug pulled. With my limited automotive knowledge I'm guessing this is a fuel problem, but what kind of problem?

So, if you unplug the connector to the fuel injector to that cylinder and makes no difference at idle, then the injector is probably bad or the ECM (ECU) is not sending the pulse to the injector. I would double check to make sure the connector is clean and has pulse when cranking the engine.

If the pulse is there and you unplugged the connector from the injector with no idle change, then the injector is probably bad.

Could I check this with something like a multimeter? Is the connection on the left side of the engine as you are looking at it?

Best is diod test lights. You can get a set cheap at harbor freight. But if you turn the car to on and turn the crank by hand you will hear each injector click. Just unplug the ignition coil so you don't have spark.

Could be or timing is off or a spark plug is bad or distributor cap and rotor is old or bad gas or bad air filter

First what do you have (ka, sr, boosted?) and what are all your porblems and what have you done to fix it?

Half drunk is a waste of money!
