wait wait wait i thought you turn it towards the front to advance which would be left if you were looking from the fender and retarding if you turn it towards the firewall which would be right... right?

The dizzy spins counter clock. So by turning it to the right (or clockwise) you will be starting the spark earlier and advancing the timing.

Remember, when setting timing, that engine should be warm, and you need to unplug the TPS!

You need to unplug the TPS to fool the ECU.
The ECU advances and retards timing depending on engine loads, so to set your BASE timing, you need to take the ECU out of the loop...

I run 20 with 93 currently. I have ran up to 25 with 93 and had no issues.
FYI, the FSM says you should use 91 octane with STOCK timing. Dont use weak sauce 87 octane.

Yes, I know guy that do and get the "V-Tec" effect due to the Knock sensor pulling timing till what was it 4700rpm or so

haha idk if it was the v tec effect or just my cams being off or even just running incredibly rich. My car would be sluggish as hell till around 35- 40 then it would be like a nice little turbo would spool haha
