My New Paint Job

So the story goes a little something like this.
I joined the Marine Corps in May of 2008, graduated from boot camp in August, went home for my 10 days, then continued on to Combat Training later on that month. After that i was off to MOS school in suck-ass 29 Palms, California, and was stuck there for 8 months total by the time I left. Now, I am stationed in Iwakuni, Japan (which is in the Yamaguchi province, about 40 kilometers from Hiroshima) and I absolutely love it here. The Japanese culture is awe inspiring, and the cars, well, it's like an automobile enthusiasts wet-dream.

For multiple reasons, I left my car back home in East Texas with my folks, and allowed my 16 year old little brother to daily drive my beloved S13 to school and work, simply because his transportation needs were putting a strenuous burden on my mother. Everything was going peachy, untill one weekend he had left it parked overnight at the local high school for a band competition, and some time during the night or early morning, a group of pre-pubescent hoodlums decided it would be a great idea to break into my car, and take anything of value.
Now, aside from the obvious misconception that 240s harbor things of value that can be salvaged by a group of morons, my car was parked in a parking lot overseen by cameras, which only further illustrates the lack of intelligence by this particular group of bandits.
Well the brilliant minds involved in this crime succeeded only in breaking the driver side window, kicking a surmisable dent in the rear left quarter panel, tearing the face plate off of my mediocre cd deck (and throwing it to the passenger floorboard) , leaving a pair of scissors which they tried to start my car with, opening the hatch and taking (this IMO is the best part) a set of wrenches sitting in the trunk, a set of wrenches that were sitting beside a tool box that held within it enough tools to completely disassemble my entire car down to the motor mounts and the bare metal frame.
Well, these geniuses got caught (there was a total of 8 of them involved in the whole ordeal) and my father whom was, in my absense, spearheading our side of the investigation, worked out a deal which stipulated that if these bastards would fork up the money for a brand new paint job for my car, we would drop the charges and consider the whole thing water under the bridge.

The following is my new pride and joy
But first, a few of the old pictures (note that alot of the body damage cannot really be assesed from these old pictures, which are from before the incident)

the old-

and the new

I am thoroughly satisfied with the work this gentleman did for my baby, and at the same time I'm saddened by the fact that i wont see her for 2 years

Bitch better not cheat on me, I'm sendin her some JDM shtuff home, so when i get back i can fix a few things, like my hideous wheel gap for starters, then i'll knock out the truck motor n replace it with something a little more fitting.

Boot camp wasn't as bad as everyone sais it is (although from what i'm told it has gotten alot more lax in recent years)
MCT was retarded
MOS school prolly wouldn't have been so bad if i wasn't stuck in middle-of-fucking-nowhere-29 palms
now that i'm finally in the Fleet, i'm lovin life.
my job is a Telephone Systems Personal Computer Intermediate Repair Technician.
or com guy, for short.

Sounds interesting, finding a good job is getting harder and harder(I have no "real education" just know how to work on cars and an average amount of science behind it) and I've been thinking about the military. It seems you either love or hate it, thats what I've been hearing. The KA motors are good...well I like them lol.

Yeah, i kinda lucked out as far as having a job with the economy being in the shitter now.
And as far as loving it or hating it, yeah, that's about right.
But it also depends on what job you have, how cool the people in your shop are, where you are,
and how you decide to live with all of the aforementioned.

Don't get me wrong, i have much love for teh KA, but mine in particular is running on hopes and dreams, and it's only a matter of time before it sais "fuck it" and won't run any more, so my options are COMPLETELY re-furbish this one, or replace the engine entirely (which is the more likely option)
And with my current situation putting me in a very opportune postion to pick up an RB for relatively cheap, how can I say no?
