Fuel Problem...

As very very very few of you may know (1 person..It's a girl and you know who you are..), I've been having trouble with my SR. It's been bogging/lagging/stuttering when I turned it on one morning. I hit the gas, and nothing happened until a second later and it didn't feel the same when it did. I took the car home, and messed around with a couple things here and there..Maybe a faulty wire?

Anyways, I drove it to Cartune and I asked Edwin if hec an drive it and maybe he'll know what the problem is. (Thanks Edwin!) There were alot of posibilities...Fuel pump, fuel filter, wiring, spark plugs, coils....So I checked all of them. The pump is working fine..(changed back to my 240 pump cause the 300z is just TOO loud for my son..and me)....checked the fuel filter and fuel was going to the fuel rail...checked the coils, working fine (THANKS TO CARTUNE AGAIN)....

So I went home, and the next day, it just decided not to start at all...Went to Cartune..AGAIN...and THANKS TO EDWIN @ CARTUNE again, he helped me out by checking my iginter chip..which was fine..

This morning, I took off the injectors, gave it a crank and NO FUEL was shooting out of the injectors. So I found out the problem...Checked the connections and all 4 injectors are getting power, just not spraying. I'm guessing all of them clogged because I was running on an empty tank (below E and still driving..) and it must of sucked up some dirt or somestuff that the previous owner had since it was still a KA when he had it....(Kinda odd how all 4 injectors just clogg up at once no?)

Today, I took off the fuel rail with the injectors still inside, and I was wondering what the best way is to clean them..I'm having trouble taking the injectors out by themselves so I don't know what to do. Somone said to just use carb cleaner and soak it in there..and see what happens..I was wondering if anyone has any tips, suggestions, or experieces they can give me to help me out. Thanks a lot. Any help is greatly appreciated.

btw...Edwin @ Cartune helped me figure out this problem..so THANKS EDWIN!

Sorry for the long post.

UPDATE

I cleaned the injectors....Or tried to anyway..Fuel spits out a little.. Now here's the problem..

Okay...I attempted to clean out the injectors. After doing so, I cranked the car and it wasn't spraying..but sputtering. So at least it gave me a clue that something was clogged up. I took the fuel line off of the FPR and cranked it. Fuel splattere everywhere ofcourse but i was happy that it did because at least I know the problem is AFTER the fuel filter.
Now, Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the fuel go from the fuel filter, into the FPR, through the fuel rail, a portion goes into the injectors (4), and the rest goes OUT the rail? Am I correct? I"m not too sure myself but I heard it goes OUT the rail as well. I decided to hook everything back up, but take out the line that goes OUT the rail. I cranked it, and nothing came out of the rail. So that means, The fuel might be stuck in the FPR somehow? I'm not sure..

Anyways, my story concludes this...

fuel is going to the fuel rail, just not OUT the fuel rail...so does that mean the FPR is clogged? Very little fuel spits out of the injectors...or shall I say "splatter to be exact"...So I'm guessing the FPR is clogged?

I hope someone can help me out. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

-Thanks.

Hey man uuuuuum I have the same problem with my KA. I replaced the FPR with a used one but it did not change anything. I going to test today further. I though the FPR was part of my problem because when I tested it, it failed the test. But it seems that theres so little fuel getting to the rail that this test proved nothing. All I know for sure is that I have little no pressure in my return line, I assume you have the same problem, as soon as I test some more I'll try to remember to let you know what I found.

I pulled my pump, the strainer (sock) was black. I know if tryed to replace the strainer alone this may help but when it gets this bad it's time to invest in a new pump. Hope this helps!
