The main difference is looks...other than that, S13's are lighter...that's the main differences I can think of. I read somewhere that early S14's had quirky handling compared to S13's for some reason, but I can't confirm that since I've never driven one.

I prefer S13's, because I really don't like the look of the S14 (although the 97-98 S14 looks pretty damn good).

Like I said, it's really just personal preference and taste, neither is really "better" than the other.
