wtf the 1991+ 240sx should be much faster than a 1997 200sx's se-r, the 200sx only packs 140 hp and 132 lbs of torque, while the 240sx has 155 hp and 160 pounds of torque, what gives??? Nissan's official numbers say the 200sx can go 0-60 in 8.1 secs, while 240sx is 8.3 secs. How the hell can 240sx get slower 0-60 time than the 200sx. 240sx is also RWD, should be able to pick up to 0-60 better than the FWD 200sx.
yeah but if those r nissan numbers, then those are probably professional drivers driving them. the 200sx is light, but I would think nissan's sports car would be faster than the 200sx.
its a 300lbs difference...100 lbs is alot easier to pull then 400 lbs
the 200 also has its power band at around the 5500 - 6000 rpms the 240 is lower at the 4500 - 5000 range
a difference of .2 is expected...this is also most likely on a dyno where wind is not calculated and is test in 3rd gear....from a dead stop the 240 would take the 200 but by a bumper or so..
i guess 240sx's are made for drifting than draggin, I'm goin to get better intake+exhaust system though, then that'll smoke a lot of the other cars out there. Can't wait to get my injen intake w/ cold air extention and apex'i dual N1's, that'll cream all the other civics/integras/preludes/american V6 cars out. If it doesn't, may opt for a KA-T

umm, I highly doubt that an intake and exhaust will let u smoke a lot of those other cars.
well an injen intake should increase 14 hp (from what dyno results show) and the dual n1's not sure, anyone know how much the intake+exhaust combo increases hp?? Also will headers add??? I know headers will cost a sh!tload
200SX SE-R's are slow as hell. I rode in one the other day and WOT in first gear was like WOT in 3rd @ 2000rpm in my 240SX. It had an intake. The results I saw in Motor Trend had the 240SX 0-60 as 7.5 and it ran 15.9 in the 1/4. But then again, number's don't mean shit if you can't drive.
PublicEnemy, you're not gaining 14hp from an intake. Intake, header, and exhaust might give you 14-18hp all together.

heh ricer talk....No doubt u will gain performance, but there are also a lot of other factors that comes into play...like the condition of ur engine....

^ dude calm the fuck down. No I'm not going to drift, and no I didn't have an integra, nor am I a rice boy. I just want to make my car a little faster (stock it's not very fast) without spending too much money. When I see dyno results, comparing a 240sx with an injen intake and without, I'm going to believe it. I know there will be some hp loss due to different conditions. No I don't read super street or import tuners or crap like that, I just research around. I guess 14hp increase is pushing it, but 240s get 133 rwhp, dyno results showed after injen short-ram it'll get 147 hp, i guess though that's short-ram intake. Besides I know it'll vary how much hp it'll give, but if dyno results show 14 hp, it has the potential to get 14 hp increase. I'm lookin at about 5-10 though since my engin is at 92k.
JuJuBeee I'm just researchin around, I'm not the one who puts all these stickers on my car or gets one of those big ass carbon fiber wings, I just want some mods to make my car faster, that's all. Jeez jujubee, what an asswipe
