Well, I'm bored off my ass right now so I'll start another experimental thread.
What is a car that you want to own more than any other. It doesn't have to be a super car, or even a sports car for that matter, just what you classify 'your' ultimate car. Give some specs, and why it's on top of your list. Again, like my other threads, the WHY is the most important, so try to put some thought into it. Pics are highly encouraged
Well mine use to be between the Lotus Exige and the Koenigsegg CCX-R, but I've shifted my desires recently. My new object of desire is the Vanwall GPR V12. The car is a complete street legal replica of the 1950's era Vanwall Formula 1 race car (it looks most like the '56-57 IMO).
This car is on top of my list for so many reasons. For starters it's gorgeous, sharing the same sleek lines of the classic Formula 1 cars. The car is also very quick. I know it's not the fastest car in the world, or even the best handeling, but it's all good enough to get the job done. What really draws me to this car though is the heritage. I'm a huge fan of classic racing, mostly Formula 1 and the Indianapolis 500. This car represents one of the best era's of racing in either of those series. Besides, you can't tell me you wouldn't want to drive a classic open wheel race car around every day.
I would have to say the Lotus Exige, firstly I think that the Exige has some of the most beautiful lines I have ever saw, the mirrors are a little big, but needed to see around the wide stance(ass) of it. The style of the car says business, but it still has an aire of pleasure to it.
Now for some specs.

Six-speed transmission
HP- 190 @ 7800 rpm
TQ- 138 @ 6800 rpm ( I know it has no low end torque)
Front suspension- Independent, Double Wishbones, Coil Springs and Stabilizer Bar
Rear suspension- Independent, Double Wishbones and Coil Springs
Tire size(front & rear)- 195/50R16, 225/45R17
Curb Weight- 2015lbs
22 mpg city 29 mpg city
0-60- 5.0 sec
0-75- 7.5 sec

60mph-0- 107 ft
Lateral G's- 1.0

The only thing I would do to one of these is give it a little boost and a little wider tire.
Dotz u read my mind on the shelby cobra thats my favorite car. I would also get a lotus exige but swap out the engine for a k20a2 engine then turbo it.
whenenver i get out of the friggin military, my old man are supposed to start a restoration project on an old road runner...we'll see how that works out.
