well since i was in the garage and takin some pics and i never made a build thread for this car anyways...i figured id make one...
if you didnt already know i popped the ringlands on my 25 last october the last night at the dragstrip....i was pissed...no big deal i just bought another swap and called it a day well here it is almost a year later and im still workin on gettin this thing done...lol
i went out last night at 9pm and decided to start... i pulled the blown motor out...removed the turbo, intake and exhaust manis off and the covers off the new engine and installed my greddy intake, 555cc injs and since worked till about 3am and decided id call out of work today and work on it all day...so today i am workin on doing the exhaust mani and 3076R now...i broke a few exhaust studs so i decided to take break b4 i got all pissy
hers some pics of the progress...
engine bay
clean engine bay and my dog
line lock
new rotors all the way around
the line lock is nothing more then a summit brand line lock...it is on the rear break line and it locks the rear breaks out instead of locking the fronts down...and it saved me from haveing to buy another line lock
I am but I only like to step up when people are being retarded and not be annal about every little thing. If he wants his thread here thats just fine with me.
Where did you get those rotors?? IDK if it's my luck or if I just suck at finding stuff, but every website I look at for brakes they only sell the front ones and it's pissing me off.

*sings* oooooonnn eeeeebbaaaayyyyyy
the name of the company was Irotors.com they sell front and rear sets for like 140 for all 4 rotors not a pair on ebay....heres their ebay store... http://stores.ebay.com/TheBrakeStore
speaking of ebay i purchase my Q45 throttle body today along with ordering my drive shaft from McKinney Motorsports they should be here this coming week
but back to my car....
BAD NEWS!!!
i had planned on dropping the motor in tonight but when i seperated the tranny this is what i found...the spec clutch was on the verge of self distruction...2 of the large springs had started to work their way out and the 2 little ones that are in the center had already disloged and relocated to the backside of the pressure plate...now just so you know this clutch was also never broken in properly i pretty much put it in the car and headed to the track...and lauched the car at 4k rpm for a whole season...so this is cause by my own abuse...not a defect in the clutch
Thanks for the link and hopes everything goes good with your swap, better hurry up with the swap before your dog gets too comfortable under the engine bay haha
spent more money today...i bought another exhaust mani like the one i have due to the old one starting to crack...along with a 6 puck unsprung disk and a replacement section for my flywheel from spec...and a mishimoto rad...
damn now i feel like a broke ass... oh well its only money and i cant take it with me...
so thats everything i needed to get the car back on the road hopefully in 2 weeks thats where it will be
