I want to start out by thanking the guys at Abel Racing in Midwest City, OK (Specifically Erwin, who goes by Efeezi on the various online forums.) You guys have been a pleasure to work with, and your knowledge of all things Nissan is amazing.
It's been six months since the 240SX encountered bearing damage, which led to a full motor rebuild.
This downtime gave me the opportunity to rethink the current engine configuration, etc. While I was happy with the power of the Borg Warner 74mm (1.10 A/R) turbo with 9" cover, the spool characteristics weren't ideal for a street car IMO, and I wanted something that could make similar power, while providing a larger powerband.
After consulting Borg Warner, they recommended their 72mm (.90 A/R) ETT Turbo with their new 10" Race Cover, which has been dyno proven to make up to 60whp over their standard 9" cover.
The motor was rebuilt with an N1 Crank, JE Pistons, and Eagle Rods. Head was left untouched from the previous setup, complete with Tomei Hardware and 260/260 Poncams.
The car now sports the new Tial 50mm Q BOV, which sounds amazing, to go along with the Tial 60mm wastegate, and I'll have some dyno videos to post this weekend, pending all goes as planned.
Here's some sneak peaks from what's to come. Forgive the dust, it's been tucked away in the corner of the shop for several months awaiting parts.

The car was completed today, and I’m very pleased with the finished product. The plan is to dyno tune the car tomorrow, and I’ll upload the graphs as soon as we finish. The car sounds beastly in person, I wish you all could see it in person.
Special thanks again to corporate sponsors: BF Goodrich Tires, Tial Motorsports, Borg Warner, Abel Racing, Je Pistons, Eagle Rods, Tomei USA, and many others along the way for your help with the vehicle.
As promised, here is the debut video of the new setup:

SR is just as good as the RB. Its just a different engine. No matter what you wanna say its still fast. Traps 123+mph consistently, my cars just not setup for crazy 60ft's to get good ET's. But it still runs 11's so im happy.

No not yet your T67 is that a T3 flange on the exhaust? or T4? Thinking about that for my RWD SR20VE project. I saw one of those motors hit 504hp @ 15psi with a T67.
Its the Full Race Spec T3/T67 .82 AR HO DBB. Many people hit over 500whp @ 18psi and 700+whp @ 30+psi. On saturday i take the car to get dyno tuned. It'll only be a pump gas tune since i havnt upgraded the fuel system yet. Tuner says he expects 500+ on pump gas with my setup. Ill post up when its done. Its currently doing 400whp untuned with the ecu pulling timing badly under boost.

Underground, can you shed some light on the in-line oil thermostat for your Setrab cooler? From what I read, it sounds like the oil bypasses the cooler until it gets up to temp. I'm trying to picture the plumbing in my mind and trying to bring it together from the pics you posted, but I'm drawing a blank.
How many ports are on the sandwich plate? I'm just trying to figure out how the t-stat is run inline without preventing oil from reaching the motor.
so when are you finally going to get rid of that ugly black thing on the back of the car and paint it that sexy blue like the rest of the car lol that rear bumper with no paint is killing me man. But thats all i can complain about lol the rest is so sexy shit you could primer that bitch and it would be hot
800rwhp in my orange starlet anyone? Or maybe 800AWHP MUAHAHAHA j/k i wish i could fit an rb in there =[

Had the car shot yesterday by two automotive photographers here in Oklahoma City. I’ll let you be the judge of the new setup; these really do the car justice. Hope you enjoy!

That could very well be the most gorgeous 240 I have ever laid my eyes upon....no shit. I cannot wait to start my project, granted it will be nothing close to that but I can only hope...haha. Amazing work.
