Question 240sx sputtering

Well my 91 fastback is sputtering, and has absolutely NO balls, if i give it a little bit of throttle it climbs through the RPMs no problem, but if i mat it it sputters from about 1200 rpm, to about 4000 rpm, i cleaned the MAF and there wasnt a change, put some sea foam in it tonight. also, if i manage to get the back tires spinning, then let off the throttle quick it will stall... might be a different problem but to me its not getting enough fuel. no codes either... so.. where do i start? help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

How would i check the fuel pressure? and i haven't messed with anything, just been getting progressively worse over the time ive been driving the car (a month or so)

Get a FP gauge and hook it to your fuel line. You can rent a kit if you don't wanna buy one.

ok, ill try and get my hands on one tomorrow, ive got an o2 sensor for it on the way, anything else i should try?

sounds like a dirty fuel sock and filter, could try refreshing those items first. if not then definitely a new pump

Well all is good but if your fuel pressure reg is shot then it would cause this. That's why we are saying test FP. Then we can go from there.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of FPRs have been going all at once?

i took the cap off today and the rotor and cap looked pretty beat up,so i ordered a premium cap and rotor... they wont be in my hands until Wednesday :/

Ordered a shop manual for it today, try to remember a FP tester tomorrow, anyone ever had one of those adjustable FPRs off ebay? car quest wants $150

What shop manual did you get. Heres the FSM from nissan.

I just asked the guy at car quest if he could get me one, was going to look into it tomorrow, so i don't know what kind it will be... is there anywhere i can get a hard copy of that?

Alright.. back from the dead, sat in the yard for about 3 weeks and started it up at took it for a spin. decided to keep it. its building negative pressure in the cooling system (collapsing the top rad hose) i dont know if this is a symptom of the stumbling, or another issue

Got it figured out, it was the fuel pump.. now its a god damn handfull!!
