Infinity Q45 brake calipers?!?

i was on jgy customs and i saw that they have q45 brake calipers for the 240.

this is the first i have heard of it.
but ne wayz it said they were 2 piston.

is this a good alternative to stock. i would imagine so. i know there is the 300zx calipers. but since i saw the q45 ones, i just was curious whats involved. is it the same amount of work and parts as if u were doing 300zx calipers?
where would u find these calipers? best bet is prob junkyard huh?

q45 brakes are good if you want to run oldschool wheels, ssr mesh, xr4s, equips, hoshinos, starsharks ect.. zbrakes are a good choice if you have stock wheels or bigger

I found q45 brakes (calipers, pads, and rotors) in a junkyard for between 50 and 90 bucks. They were used for less than a year before the car they came off of was totalled. I also have ss lines and upgraded pads front and rear...feels great to me.

Good reasons for q45 brakes over Z brakes: cheaper than Z brakes, good pedal feel with stock master cylindar, fit under 15" SE wheels, thicker rotors than n/a Z brakes (28mm vs. 26mm).

reasons to go Z over q45: Aluminum Z calipers are lighter than q45 calipers, arguably better braking (4 piston vs. 2), great pedal feel with z master cylindar, TT Z rotors are thicker (30mm vs 28mm), says "nissan" on them, better pad and rotor selection (including buying pre-drilled for 4-lug rotors).

If you are just doing front brakes with no master cylindar upgrade they are the same amount of work AFAIK.

I have a set of Q45 calipers sitting in my garage, a pair of J30's too, I can get you a rear 5 lug setup from the Q45 too, I have two of them, they are the same as the 300zx rears expect smaller brakes. If you want any of this email me heferwolf@aol.com or im at the same thing.

the price is a little better then the z brakes. i have 17' touring cups and the z brakes wouldn't fit. the q45 do. guess that want to buy the parts on their own, don't forget that you will need to get the caliper brackets too. so autozone or advance won't have these when you buy their $100 calipers.

overall, the q45 is about perfect upgrade for a 4 lug s13. Fast brake kit comes with 4 lug rotors btw.

I have a set of Q45 front calipers for sale on ebay, everything with it too. Except rotors, Q45 take the 28mm rotors. N/A 300zx = 26mm and 300zxTT = 30mm. I think they are a direct bolt on for the s13...evilimport@yahoo.com if you guys wanna see.

what's involved into putting these on? Can you run stock rims, and do you need to upgrade rotors? Do you need any brackets? If goes right on I will be all over them!!!

Depends on what your current rims look like but they are smaller than 300zx calipers so they should fit perfect...Yes, you will need new front Q45 rotors and maybe pads and when you get the rotors take them to a machine shop for 5 minutes and have them drilled for 4 lug (they only need 3 holes drilled) <--- easy to do. Dont need any brackets and I even think the brakelines match up!!
