Not really. S14=S14. Kouki's are just sexier.

damn i was hoping someone would come by and be like ZENKI IS THE BEST, KOUKI IS cRAP. but its soo obviouse that kouki looks sooooo much better. why is it that im always stuck with the ugly version of a caR? i had a 95 gsx, not the nice looking 97+ gsx. lol same case here. im wondering if the appearance mods are worth it or not.

If you do up the car correctly then a Zenki can look just as good as a Kouki... and I have a Kouki.

yeah they are both badass. i might be selling my car to get a black 97 only because i can get it for cheap.

as far as differences theres nothing major, the gauge cluster is a little different as far as the tripometer and odometer , just different parts lol i noticed it while test driving the 97, and theres other little differences. Nothing major though.

Actually he is somewhat right. The front brace on the 97-98 240's is much sturdier than the 95-96's and S13's. Im referring to the brace that you would replace with the Nismo power brace. The pre 97's have large holes all along it for whatever reason, but the 97-98 braces dont, they're much more solid. This makes installing a power brace on a 97+ kinda a waste IMO. Also I believe the rear sway bar in the 97 SE and LE models was just a tad thicker than the pre 97's. Can you really feel the difference in driving a stock 97 vs. a stock 96... I couldn't really.

Does your car have an LSD? It does make a big difference. Kinda odd though that as rare as 240's are with LSD's, the one that I got to drive that was all stock had an LSD. My car is an LE with an LSD and ABS also so that's probally why I didn't feel any difference, but you did.

If you have a chance to get a 97 with ABS/LSD then jump all over it before it's gone... especially if it's black (like mine).

95 - neither OBDI or OBDII....its right in between
96- OBDII
97-98 OBDII and a couple of differences in some connections......don't forget the gauge cluster and seat patterns

^what's OBDI or OBDII???

You know Chris Jex??? I read up on his project, that car has like 455 rwhp. And that body kit is a veilside one right, or is it the bomex?? I can't remember. Hey Hadokenny those headlights look thinner than the normal stock 240, nice car but I dont' like the ricey carbon wing and the hood is kind of whack. Chris Jex really needs a spoiler on his, maybe a NaVan, would make it look a lot better

ZENKI KICKS ASS!!! (Not inplying that kouki sux!)
Reasons: My friend has a kouki and gets harassed all the time by cops, and kids wanting to race, why... because the car looks pissed! I like the "blend in" look of the front end of my Zenki cause you dont get noticed (ie harassed) nearly as much. But hey thats just my opinion..... Flame on!

Like I said before I really like both bodystyles.... if they're done right. The Kouki is already great looking stock. The Zenki needs some work to look good though. I love the look of my car, but I still need to change a few things... gotta get an aftermarket front bumper... I like the INGS kit.

What's really wierd is when you compare a Kouki S14 and an S15... its almost like they should have each others front end. The S14 is round and smooth all the way up to the front windshield on a Kouki model... then it's all sharp angles. The S15 is just the opposite. Sharp body lines, especially the rear fenders and bumper but it's all smooth and rounded in the front.

In my opinion the kouki is nicer, that same goes with all koukis of nice japanese sport cars. Like the supra, rx7, and dsm you have to admit the newer the car the more it looks better, it has to. But I'm not stating it as a fact, people have a preference and if it's an older model then what ever floats their boat. Without zenki there would be no kouki, and with all cars you can always see some same lines and designs.
