Hey i got a stupidly simple problem, but i want some "pro opinions". Im going to change my pads beacuse they are worn, but i wonder what i should do. As u can see i have white rims, but they dont stay white for more than a day. My pads suck, and i wondering if neone thinks i should get ceramics.....i just dont like the idea of eating my rotors alive. If there are any composite pads that dont dust too bad, let me know. Im all ears.
Ceramic pads will still dust, just a little though. And as wanna said, they eat the rotor less than metalic pads do. And take that trim off your fenders! It's nasty!
metallics equals death to rotors and tons of break dust, but fast stopping.
Semi-metallic equals slow death to rotors and lots of brake dust.
ceramic is the same if not easier on rotors than semi-metallic, and dust way less.
