no, you just gotta undo the motor mounts and jack the engine up. Forgot the wrench and socket sizes. Just make sure to have a skinny socket extention.
1 Drain the oil
2 use Jack stands or stack tires/rims under the door panels so you cannot be crushed.
3 remove all the little screws that hold the pan on. The 2 between the engine and tranny require a skinny socket extention.
4 Now try and pry the pan off without bending ANY of it! I used a razor knife and some skinny flat heads.(took awhile, be patient, if it bends, its done)
5 If you can do it at this point, unbolt the oil pick up. Just slide a open ended wrench between the block and the dangling pan. Two bolts on one side and one bolt on the other. Let it fall into the pan, its ok.
6 Undo the 2 motor mounts(yeah, horriable design huh?)
7 place the Jack under the tranny in a secure spot.
8 Jack the engine up useing the tranny till it lifts high enough for the pan to slide out. ( I had to lift mine completely out of the mounts)
9 Remeber your oil pick up is in the pan.
The oil pick up is a test of skill and patience to put back on. you gott have it in the pan, slide the pan in and then mount it. Every time you drop one of those bolts, ya gotta fish it out of the pan. get one of those magnetic wand things for picking up nuts and bolts. When you drop a bolt, point this into the pan and get it out. Otherwise you gotta pull the pan back out. And that can get messy if your useing a gasket sealant.
I used the black RTV if I remeber right. It also took me 6 hours.
