General Rules

The real-time nature of this forum makes it impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the contents of posted messages and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this forum or any entity associated with 240SXFORUMS.COM. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by e-mail. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, excessively profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by 240SXFORUMS.COM. Trading, offering, linking to, or making available any illegal content such as WAREZ is strictly prohibited on this forum and will result in account termination without notice. Additionally, posting advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate on this forum and will result in account termination without notice.

Although this forum does not and cannot review the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, 240SXFORUMS.COM reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 240SXFORUMS.COM and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your messages.

240SXFORUMS.COM also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

Vendors and Forum Sponsors

Any vendor or forum sponsor that takes advantage of our members and community will be banned with out notice, all their posts, group buys and For Sale threads will be removed right away. All contracts regarding site advertisement will be null, We reserve the right to change these terms at any time. By becoming a forum sponsor of 240SXFORUMS.COM you agree on all of the terms listed in the TOS section.  Providing false information and selling parts that cannot be provided to our members and community is also illegal and your accounts and contract will be terminated and removed. No refund to the sponsor will be given if the TOS is broken. Vendors and Sponsors of the forums are not permitted to reply to a  thread in order to promote their site, sell their parts or anything else that is not related to the pertaining thread. This does not apply to the For Sale section or Group Buy Section. Vendors and Sponsors of the forums are also not allowed to email our members to promote their site, any Vendor or Sponsor found guilty of the above statement will be banned and all contracts with 240SXFORUMS.COM terminated with no refund, for services paid in exchange for advertisement. We do not tolerate SPAM of any sort, Self promoting by the vendors and Sponsors outside of the agreement made between the owner of 240SXFORUMS.COM and the specific Vendor or Sponsor will result in termination of the account and contract agreement for advertising. Vendors who do not have an advertising agreement or banner exchange with 240SXFORUMS.COM must request permission from the Admin before posting a Group Buy or For Sale post to promote their business. 

Spam is not tolerated

Spam is considered posting topics on our forums that contain no point, relevance, or contain subject matter that doesn't directly allow other member participation. Topics directed to a particular user, posting several times consecutively as an appendage to ONE post, and posts in threads that have NOTHING to do with the subject matter are all considered Spam and will be deleted on sight. Contributing to/or intentionally posting Spam will not be tolerated and your account will be terminated without notice.

Keep your signature brief

This forum has a signature feature which allows you to "sign" your posts with a customized block of text or an Image. However, extremely long signatures (those which you would need to scroll to see all of in 800x600 resolution) and signatures containing excessive graphics in number and in size are NOT permitted. Keep your signature small and brief.   Failure to follow this rule will result in your signature being deleted and suspension.Signature images should be no more than 500x125

Test posts are allowed in the test section only

Test posts are allowed in the TEST section only, Linking images to other forums is not however, anyone found doing this will be warned, if the link is not removed then your account will be removed. Help us keep bandwith down and keep forum speeds up.

Multiple accounts are NOT permitted

Create one account, make sure you're satisfied with the name, and keep it. Duplicate accounts are not tolerated. Doing so will result in all your accounts being terminated without notice.

Know your role

As a member of this forum it is not up to you to interpret our policies or enforce them. If you see a member committing a violation of our Terms of Service you may politely inform them and point them in direction of the TOS. If another member has already done this, there is no need for you to reply, even just to back up the first member. This is a waste of space and considered Spam.

Furthermore, in relation to Spam, it is up to the discretion of the Moderators and Administrators to determine if a post is Spam or not. Adding to your post or topic, "This is not Spam," not only doesn't make the post not Spam, but is highly frowned upon. The same applies to replying to a topic and declaring it Spam or not. It is not your place. If you feel a topic is Spam, inform the Moderator of the forum or any Administrator.

Harassing or threatening another member because of what you feel is a TOS violation is a violation of the TOS in itself. Doing so will result in revoking of your posting privileges on these forums for an amount of time to be determined by the Administration. While we encourage users to help one another, we strongly urge users to leave the administrating to the Administrators.

Behave as you would in a public location

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being. This includes racist comments, hateful remarks or outright flaming other users or staff for any reason. If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be MADE to leave.

Your rights to Freedom of Speech don't apply here

You are welcome to have opinions. You are welcome to question certain subject matter posted on these forums. You are welcome to dislike a certain post or disagree with it. However, that does NOT mean you have the right to freely express them here. Though we typically condone people to express their opinions and ideas, we have the right to delete yours if necessary, should we consider it abusive. This is NOT a violation of your Freedom of Speech rights. You can express your opinions somewhere else.

Advertising and solicitations are NOT permitted

As stated above, posting of advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on this forum and will result in account termination without notice. You are ONLY permitted to advertise your site in your signature. The exception to this rule is to inform others of sites that provide a service to benefit them. For example, posting a thread regarding a new free web space provider is acceptable providing there's nothing in it for you except the satisfaction of helping your fellow members.

Before you start asking questions regarding the forums, read through the Help section first. Many times you will find the answer there. Failure to do so may result in suspension of your posting privileges until you pass a test regarding the content of the TOS and help. THIS IS FAIR WARNING.

Your account is for YOU only

You may use your account to post your opinions, your thoughts, and your views within the guidelines of the TOS. You may NOT use your account to post for people who are not members or have had their posting permissions removed. You also may not grant others access to your account. Doing so will result in immediate termination of your posting privileges.

We reserve the right to change these policies at any time

It is YOUR responsibility to read announcements regarding policy changes. Ignorance is no excuse.

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal of your posting privileges

Depending on the severity of your TOS violation and the amount of times you have previously violated the TOS the Administration may choose to suspend your posting privileges or terminate your account. If you are suspended you will not be able to post (and should not edit any of your prior messages or you will be immediately banned) on our forums for an amount of time to be determined by the Administration and until you have completed a test regarding the TOS. You may refer to the TOS at any time for the answers, however your answers must be in your own words.

Please try to follow these guidelines so everyone can have a pleasant experience while using this Forum.

1. No flaming of other members.
2. No Personal threats of any kind to any members.
3. Curse words are okay as long as they are not used against other members. And as long as they are not excessively used. If someone complains, then the post will be edited.
4. Try to help you fellow 240SX brothers, even if they ask the same questions 986,475,124 times. I know it can get old, but remember thats what this board is here for.
5. Try to use the search feature, this will help in answering some of the questions that may have already been asked by other members before you.
6. When posting pics, links that are not appropriate for work, put a warning in the post so people at work do not open it and get in trouble. Many of us browse from work so lets be considerate of others. Nude pictures are also against forum rules. We have members under the age of 18 and it is illegal for them to view those types of images.
7. Commercial posting is not allowed. Please contact any moderator or admin for permission before doing so. Only forum sponsors can post for sale items with out requesting permissions. Failure to obey will result in a user account termination.
8. Registering to promote your personal site or business is against forums rules. Anyone violating this rule will be banned with out reason or second chance. We will add more guidelines if needed in the future. Lets have fun, help each other and lets make this the best site for 240SX owners.

To greater enhance the sense of communtiy on these forums, please refrain from bashing or flaming other 240SX Forums such as zilvia.net and freshalloy.com. We have a lot of members that visit multiple forums, and we want to keep this place as friendly as we can for everyone.
