Future AutoX spec Racer
hey ppl name's JT, 21 and live in Northern VA; bought my own '90 240sx HB with a '94 KA24DE engine. So far Ive been stripping the car down, tearing out stuff I dont need like rear seats, floor, antenna, radio, a/c etc. Shocks are all blown to hell goin to replace with some TEIN coilovers.

Due to the fact that its AutoX Im only doing small changes to my engine, I found that if you let the KA breathe better it gives you a lot more response. Need to replace my cams and get something a little more high performance after you clear 5500 rpms the engine seems to start putting out less.

Lots of body work needs to be still done looking at having all the rust removed, putting on sway bars, strut tower bars, braces for underbody and fenders. The coilovers that ill be adding are stiff as hell, so no this car is not a daily driver. The seats have definitely got to go they dont grab you as well as Id like and if you ever noticed the bar on the side of the seat keeps getting bent.

Well thats all for now... july 16 will be the first time I will be racing this car wish me luck. :eek3dance

Hi everyone, my name is Joe and I live near Akron, Ohio. I have a 240sx that I use as a daily driver for my other car that is set up for race, a Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV. I'm mostly here just to get questions answered and learn some new things.

DriverX 06-22-2005 12:36 PM name is Luis, I go by lou. I drive a '91 S13 HB. So far the only upgrades done are ST bars front and rear, TEIN S-Tech springs with AGXs all riding on Potenza RE750s. Some may know me as GhostDriver on NICO.

well since i havnt posted here yet ill do it now...

Names Robert(rob for short) I live in california and I drive a 1986 Mazda Rx7 Non turbo and a 67 mustang that needs some serious body work and new paint before i can drive it again. I turned 20 last april and iv ben into the whole autox/drifting scene for a few years now but never really got into it(just never had the time nor the car for it till now). Im a Car painter/Body man and i like working on motors, but my true passion is working on anything dealing with the suspension. I plan on starting my own performance shop in the near future and hope to build some nice track cars to play with :thumbsup. Well thats all for now i guess, if you need anything please hesitate to ask. :happyfing

Hey guys, cool club. I just totaled my 400whp WRX the other night, so I figured I'd join up here since this is probably going to be my next car. Cheap, light, ridiculous power. Got a line on Skyline drivetrains, so I figured this could make a sick sleeper sort of setup....full rollcage of course in case I had a repeat of hte other night's disaster! :rotflmao I used to be a moderator on clubwrx until recently when I quit to kind of clear my head, so i konw the whole "search n00b" crap, and I know how to roll on a car forum.

Hopefully I'll learn a lot here...

Hi, my name's Eddie. I just sold my '03 Matrix XRS so I could start building a SilEighty. The car needs a lot of work, but I already got the best part done; SR20det Red Top. I'd love to join in on some SoCal meets if anyone wants to invite me, or a lot of us meet up every Thursday night if someone wants to join in.

Hey, my name is RJ and I am from Western Colorado. I've wanted a 240 SX ever since I was into cars and I was always searching for a white coupe S13. So, when a guy came to my place of work with a white 89 coupe for 150 dollars, how could I say no? Now, I am in the process of totally revamping the vehilce, including new interior, an Sr20DET with some bolt-ons and a full built suspension featuring parts from D2, Kazama, Tein, and Tanabe. Hopefully within the next two years or so, it will be complete and running around 235-240 WHP!!!!!! Glad to be part of the forum and I hope to learn a lot from you guys!!!!!

My name is Mike, and I just bought a '95 240SX as a daily driver (which by default put my '87 Corolla GT-S into "track use only" status), although if my past is any indication I'll end up spending so much money on it that I won't want to drive it anywhere.

I live near Culver City, CA so anyone in my area please feel free to hit me up.

jtheday 07-07-2005 05:54 PM

just bought a 240
hey guys and gals, i just bought a cherry 1993 240 sx. im totally looking foward to building this into my dream car. the car is going to be a dedicated race car, (autox, drag, drift, and when i get better and have some good seat time auto-xing i'll start going to track days.) i currently am racing a 2005 subaru sti and am going to use it for street duty only once i finish building the 240. my power goals for the 240 are some where around 350 hp at the wheels. im a decent backyard mechanic, ive gotten the subaru up to 385-395 hp, but when it comes to nissans it will be my first time time wrenching on one. im sure i'll have a ton of questions so any help will be greatly appreciated. so far i've stripped the interior down to the sheet metal. the only things left are the drivers seat and the dash. im looking around for the best price on an s13 redtop, thats going to be the next step in my project, then i'll work on the suspension. well, i guess ive babled enough for now, later

feroce 07-10-2005 09:03 PM

Wutup, the name's Ronnie Bishop, im Originally from South Korea, but live in New jersey because the damn military sent me here, haha. (McGuire AFB). But I'm currently in search of a 97 SE M/T. I have one in site right now, if everything goes well, i'll have one in my garage. Am looking into the SR swap, but will be doing more research about the two engines (KA/SR) before doing anything. I am interested in both potentials. I guess it depends on what type of car i want. Well, holla back~ peace
