Hey, guys, GT-R aside, what are you guys looking forward to, as far as the concept cars are concerned?

For me, GT-R aside, the Azeal looks pretty exciting, as long as they make the AWD form (if they make the AWD version, that will be my first new car purchase).

I'm also curious about the Mazda Kibura people keep ranting about, even though it seems like they're trying to use it as a way to phase out their rotary line (I mean, c'mon Mazda, I-4 in a sports coupe body? I bet in an age where sports cars aren't doing incredibly hot due to gas prices you're going to have an I-4 roadster, I-4 sports coupe and a rotary sports coupe, as well as the rest of the Mazdaspeed line). I guess it is possible, after all, Mazda is very sports oriented.

The Toyota Alessandro Volta (SP?) is also kinda interesting. 400+ HP in a car that gets better fuel economy than my car is a pretty cool idea, though I wonder how well the hybrid engines would hold up in high-stress applications... I also hear the unofficial replacement for the Honda NSX is supposed to be fully electric....

I also hear there's a 450Z in the works.... very interesting....

eh, I'm interested in the one-seater RR drivetrain concept I've been playing around with... it's the reason my 240 hasnt been worked on lately. rollcages are first which will lead to tube-frame fabrication, then kevlar bodypanels which will lead to kevlar shell. one baby step leads to big leaps. I've always figured I could build a perfect car for my tastes for much less than it would cost me to buy one that appealed to me alittle more than others.

I want a Caterham 7.
Fuck all these concepts. I haven't seen a single one yet that really impressed me. Being a Mazda guy, I will say that I don't see a place in the US market for the Kabura, unless they are 100% cancelling the RX-8 platform....which is probably a good idea unless then do some serious redesigning...and think turbo.

Azeal isn't coming out. Car and Driver had an interviewer when the concept was released and it was basically a demonstration of the new "look" that will be coming from Nissan, but they have no intentions of production.

450z is a giant joke going around the z forums. No truth at all about it.

For me I dunno. Concepts recently have sucked in comparison to past years. Camaro SS is about as good as they have gotten.

Damn about the Azeal. An AWD sports coupe in the youth-centered price-bracket would be pretty nice. Sure, it looked a bit ugly, but concepts usually do, until they're tweaked down a bit for production. I kinda had my heart set on that, to be honest. But, oh well.

EDIT: That is, if they had put it through with an AWD trim, which I had heard mentioning to them doing.

the new mazda rx7 if they do decide to make it.(hopefully) if they do make it and the price is reasonable ill be picking one up instead of the rsx. :supercool
