Time for an update.

Car runs GREAT after I changed the o2 sensor and engine temp sensor.
I painted the car for fun just because i hate seeing 4 different colors on it. It came out better then i thought. I used some 400 sand paper and $35 worth of paint (semi gloss black)

dang that sucks!! im trying to find out the capabilities of the ca18det with little upgrade such as s15 t28 turbos and things like that.

dude, no one is going to have CHP numbers, your going to be sol. with IC/ exhaust, upgraded turbo, etc, it will surpass a stock SR. They really re similar in power, the CA is just older/ tend to be more worn out.

i read off one thread on a different forum that a guy was getting 300chp out of his ca18det and he only had $1900 in his engine set and mods. does that seem possible?

this should not be an issue if you take it to a reputable machine shop. quit tripping, 65ft lbs or whatever is reccomended for the moly or oil specs will hold that bitch down, quit being anal, its just a head gasket...
