Just put the supercharge up next to the motor to see how it would fit.

Waiting on one of my friends to gimme word on an intercooler core so I can start on building the intake manifold. I'll post pictures of what I'm tryin to do with the intake manifold later. Still gotta figure out the fuel rail and stuff.

EDIT: If anyone gots any suggestions on where I could get an air to water intercooler core custom sized for a good price, I'd greatly appreciate it if you shot me a pm or posted.

awesome ! that thing is giong to be sweet! please keep us updated with pictures, good luck!

Well, to answer your question on the belt alignment (sp?). I plan on remaking the whole upper intake manifold, therefore I'm going to make it so that the supercharger pulley sticks out far enough for me to put another pulley on the crank pulley that I can attach a belt to. Here's a paint picture of what I mean.

EDIT: Oh yea, I plan on "the works" as far as internals go.... Rods, pistons, rings, crank knife edged, hardened, balanced, etc., cams, valves, valve springs, you get the point.... I'm not too sure how much it'll be boosting once I get it up and running, so, better safe than sorry :). I'm still debating on weather I should go AEM or Megasquirt... Megasquirt is nice cause of the whole "DIY" thing + price, but AEM's got that "damn, he's got AEM" thing to it :p lol... not to mention, I won't need to put it together myself and all that. If anyone's got any suggestions on other ECU's, don't hesitate to say so.... I've been lookin at bikirom... but iono...... anyone able to expand on how it works? Is it like Megasquirt? I'm confused...

bikirom, its like a diy rom tune. you put in the chip and you use a harness and laptop to tune it.
Ok, so for bikirom, I buy the chip from them, install it in my current ecu, (I assume it comes with software) then I start tuning it w/a harness connected to a laptop?... Sounds simple enough. Is it as accurate as aem/megasquirt though, since it's just a chip instead of an entire ECU? I mean does it allow the user to do all the fine tuning the other ECUs'll do? :12dunno Iono man, I'm skeptical about biki....

Thanks guys, but due to current financial issues. This project must be put on hold for a bit. My parents need help paying the bills and I have to dip into the supercharge funds. :(. I'll update as soon as some new developments are made.

bump for a great build, keep it up. When it is done, I would like to see it and ride in it to see how it compares to de-t's. I am in Appleton, WI so I could come see it or meet up somewhere. I also want to ask you where you got your charger? The only ones I have been able to find are the centrifigul(spelling?) type superchargers. Anyways, keep the pics and info coming!!
