so i got the MMR-Direct subframe bushings and put em on today. Install took about 3 hours straight from subframe in the car, out and back in again. I didnt take off the brake calipers since there is no need, all you have to do is unhook the ebrake cables and the brake lines to each caliper and your good.

I have a stupid question though, whats to stop the subframe from sliding out of the bushings since the lip is on top and there isn't one on the bottom? I guess if my car caught a big bump and got air, it would be possible for the subframe to slide right out of em. here is a picture of the bushings as well..

um......well there is supposed to be somethign holding them from the bottom, otherwise all you have done it tightened down some sweet bushings to your car with a freefloating subframe...i suggest you contact the company about this....or buy some HUGE fender spacers that can slide under the nut and spread out past the edges of the subframe....

yea true im going to the hardware store tomorrow and getting some really thick washers that are a big enough diameter to overlap the bottom of the subframe.

awesome! it seems like theres anther part to the bushing, but i may be wrong. take some pics yo.

Aren't the bottom OEM collars sufficient to hold them in if you torque everything to spec? Unless I'm just thinking about a different part.

see what i mean?Look at that huge gap there.. I need to put washers on there, I cant keep it like hte way it is right now..

I see what you mean, if they are bolted down there certainly is a lot of slack in there. It's not moving though is it?

it doesn't look like its bolted on correctly. when we put in the solid spl subframe bushings, i had to reuse the stock bottom collars and they should sit in the same manner that they did before you changed them
how the hell can I bolt on a nut and a collar wrong bro? There is no room for the stock collars, the bushings have no cut outs for a collar. I did nothing wrong on the install, these bushings just don't reuse the stock collars like they say they do. Washers should do the job just fine though, got em on now and should be ready to go once i get my suspension installed this week
