haha, everybody has plans for huge horsepower... whether these come through or not my guess is you're drag-racing. In that case, weld the bitch or buy a KAAZ or Nismo.

honestly a vlsd would be fine for right now. i'd personally wait to spend over $1k on a diff until you actually have the power to where you need something like that. vlsd's can always be resold very easily, people are always looking for 'em. just my $.02

welded diffs are not allowed by most sanctioning bodies and racetracks.
if they find out you have one you will not pass yech or get kicked out if you make it past tech in.

if it was going to be a strict drag car i would convert it to a solid rear axle like a ford 9 inch, rear independent suspension sucks for drag.
