I love the onboard footage , but i wish you could get some track side footage.

were you pressuring that red miata?..is that why he spun?...and that vette , is that why he waved you by?

Nice little moment at the end there...:thumbsup
no pressure, just a early apex thorugh that turn and an attempt to keep it on the tarmac led to the spin, if he put 2 wheels off on the left, he wouldnt have spun...kind of a rookie move, dont force the car to go somewhere it cant...even if that is on track :)...

there were a variety of cars there, some expensive (C6 ZO6, AMG SL55, etc..) and others cheap, and a bunch of drivers forced into a faster group because the super novice groups were packed, im a sort of agressive driver because NASA seems to get that way while not encouraging it even tho it leads to a racing school, so when you go with other more calm groups some people arnt ready for you to be on their tail rather than waiting for the point....

i usually dont wait for a point long, i line up to pass and hope they put their arm out so i dont have to jab the brakes....

the off was a result of engine cutting off, i didnt rev up the engine and i lost spark via rich fuel mixture...since imrunnign open BOV....i usually compensate for it by light revvs while braking, but someone didnt that time, and lost power and then lost brake pedal...it was slow too...and sad :)...

some were on we-todd-did-racing.com and they changed their site dramatically last year so those went down the poop shoot, then the others i have on photobucket.com and i rearranged my account to have more organized folders and that changed all the url's and i was just too lazy to go back changing them all...

anything you guys want pics up i will find and post as of now....just let me know what you wanna see an dill get them up here....

**UPDATE**

just ordered some STI Injectors (540cc i believe) and got a AFC from one of my friends

and possibly some BC cams and springs for some great power out of turns...

we will see if i decide to install it all before my October event, i may just wait tho....

u guys think i shoudl do it before my suspension upgrade?

Suspension 1st
i tried waiting, then my option for cheap cams came up....so i took it.

Stance GR+ coils with BV upper control arms and a full set of Energy Susp. Bushings.....not too much fancy shit, but itll be fully dialed in Camber and height wise...toe will stay 0 and caster will stay factory....

full set of Energy Susp. Bushings.
Prepare yourself for go cart like handling(from what i hear). Your gonna install them yourself i take it?..i heard thats like a 18hr job , but well worth it...i say one of the most important upgrades ever..where did you order them from and what was the cost?

oh and homemade solid rear subframe bushings....SPL copies :)
I demand pictures.

on the softest setting with the Stances the car should handle very good and not be too stiff, and very predictable once the bushings are in.

Bushings i got from phase2motortrend.com....price not discloased, im sure u can understand.

pics soon enough, they need the center holes drilled and then you can see pics, they will look exactly like the SPL ones, i used their measurments and a CNC lathe to cut them out and a manual lathe to drill the center holes...or will be using i mean.

Great minds think alike...chassis stiff , suspension on the soft side.

Cool , i cant wait to get mine. Im going to order the ebay ones for $37. Unless that is , you wanna make me a set for cheaper?:thumbsup

cheaper? no dice, i got roundstock off ebay 5052 Al from my bro for my b-day, then got people with CNC Lathe at school to cut out basics for me, then i have to final cut them on manual lathe.....labor and effort is way out of the question for me to make a set for anyone but myself....which basically goes with everythign else ive done as well...seats mounted, exhaust welded, v-mount fabbed, IC piping designed, motor built, painted everything, wheel spacers made, chassis wiring done and redone again.....and again :)....unless i charge hourly i would never make money doing anything for people these days.....

i try to do as much myself as possible....i hate to pay labor fees becaus ei m trained to do just about everything i have done so far....Aviation has such vast training i am confident i can handle just about everything i have done, even welding, if only i wanted to buy tube bender and notcher....

cool setup man, but i want to see pics of the v mount in detail and also some pointers on how you fabbed it up and how you did the ducting. I currently dont have a 240 but im looking for one right now, just a shell that i can put the ka24de that i got from the junkyard into, im going with a turbo setup and its going to be my track car. Im kinda wierd in the fact that even though i dont have all my stuff yet, i make these to do lists and everything on the to do list has a list of its own that i have all the parts and materials i need and also i plan out the steps i need to take in fabricating it up.

Im kinda obsessive compulsive like that but i find that i forget little shit if i dont sit down and do it that way because of my add. I found out the hard way that you cant fuck around when it comes to track setups when i used to race my dirtbike. After having the bolt fall out from the clutch cable brace and making me dnf because i couldnt shift the tranny cause of no clutch (i coulda kept going but im not factory backed and new trans stuff is expensive). So now i get all crazy and make super detailed lists.

Anyways i been thinking about a v mount setup for awhile and since i dont have a car right now to start mocking stuff up on i just was wondering if you could post up some detailed pics and some pointers on how you mounted/made it work.

Also i dont know if your instructor told you this but in some of your videos you can hear yourself lifting in turns. I was always taught that when you come into the turn and are off the gas, dont start feeding it back in until your sure you wont have to lift mid turn. Thats a big no no and can cost you time and also make you overrotate the turn. My old boss used to race at riverside in 510's and he took me out when i had my old 240 and drilled that into my head. Made me gain cut my lap times down on willow springs a whole lot. Just remember into the turn and then when you've reached the point where you can start feeding gas dont stop til you come up to the next turn. Thats the only time you should have to lift is corner entrance. Just what i was taught but, seems to me that you have it down in most turns i think it was just a few, i dont have time to watch the whole vid right now or i would so i can mention what turns i noticed that in.

car looks good man.
