I had this same exact issue and was so confused about it. What I did was I pulled off the CAS and had some one rotate it while I manually grounded the injectors to fire them. I went through all 6 of them and they tested out fine, and then I put it back together and it started perfect after that, weird. I'm guessing they were a little stuck or something and needed a good ground to get them to open and stop sticking. Try testing them though its pretty easy to do and you should hear them fire, its a very audible sound although its not that loud.

Well she fired up today! I sprayed some ether down in the intake once more and she sputtered to life! She ran pretty rough and blew alot of crap out and had a few vac leaks.

I found a vac line cracked and the vac line off the fpr wasn't hooked up - so that was my fuel issue. I'm also running it off the old and tired KA pump.

I'm going to run the r32 pump, adjustable regulator and a z32 filter

She turns over real strong, charges 13.8v, run super sweet, but when cranking it up, it sputters for a few seconds and then runs fine. My 'choke' orange wire is hooked up, what could that be from? My friends RB coupe ran exactly the same

I'll get some good vids next week unless you wanna hear the shitty ones off my cell phone.

Awesome job man! I knew it was a matter of time. Now update us with a vid and more pics!!

lol, watch that 13.8v charging voltage drop down to 12.8 when the fans kick on.
80a alternators blow.

I will get some good vids soon guys. Thanks for all the help everyone. All of you guys are real good about answering my annoying messages and repetive questions especially declare, carl and nismo!

Carl- i wasn't aware that fans suck that much juice lol. As long as im about 12.6, ill be fine.

I got a friend at the auto parts store, so maybe he'll let me go back there and check out the alternators. I browsed through them one day and I found one off an explorer with the same style of plugs and bracketry and it's rated at 110 amps. Might be a nice upgrade if Mine ever goes out.

If I could figure out how to upload pix off pix place, I would

do you hear the fuel pump priming ?
I don't believe I did, im not sure though, the stock pump is much quieter than any walbro ive heard. But if the car started, it should be working correct?

It doesn't matter what pump you have. You should hear some sort of priming. If you listen closely you will know what we are talking about even with KA. But since you are running on your KA for now it don't matter since you will be switching to your R32 pump I guess. Come to think of it this is why you probably have that problem we talked about with fuel because of not priming correctly. Eitherway when you swap out the KA for the R32 prime it a few times. Turn the key all the way over but dont crank and keep doing it for a couple mines. Then you should be golden.

Oh and your downpipe is under way. You should get it very very soon. Tracking number in your PM. Thanks again Randall.

Hey man, no problem. Anything to help get this project done is wonderful. You pump should be shipped tommarrow afternoon.

I ran into a few things. Over the weekend, I left the cables hooked up and checked it this morning, it was down the 4v, so I have a parasitic drain somewhere, so ill start pulling fuses and see which one is causing the drain.

Also, while it was running today, it sounded like a rough sound comming from the front of the motor. Not really loud, but just loud enough to draw attention under close detail, I dont think it's anything internal due to the fact the motor revs up fine and super smooth, so im thinking that the idler pulley has some miels on it and makes it whine some. I'm sure the cam gears are pretty loud as well.

Im not sure what the problem may be but depending on the sound it could be due to your idler pulley like you mentioned, your tensioner pulley perhaps, or even your timing belt to tight like mine was. Care to describe the sound or better yet show us a video? We can then better help you.

The sounds wasn't quite as noticable today. It sounded like pullies you know? They aren't ever going to be super quiet when they have 40k+ miles on them. More of a slight whine.. .like old alternator bearing.

I got alot done today.

R32 pump is in and working, z32 fuel filter done (that sucker is huge), put new fuel lines on, hooked up boost guage, put center console stuff back on

All Im waiting on now is driveshaft bolts, bleed clutch, e-fans, and exhaust to come in the mail. Stock elbow (thanks peter), and tophat downpipe. I have a megan test pipe and generic 3in exhaust already on the car.

The booster is bad on my brakes, so even though ill have it running and driving, i still gotta gut the brakes before i can drive it! DAMN!

Hmm... Try loosing the tensioner and see what happens. Just a bit though. You dont want your belt flopping around and eventually falling off to only cause bent valves and such. Try to listen closely and see if its coming from the middle or the top of the motor. If its from the middle I bet its your pulleys and if its from the top I can guaranteed you its the timing belt thats tight.

alright, ill check it out in the morning!

Can I use a KA reverse light switch on the ka tranny?

lol. It's not a big deal, I just like to do it right. I didn't do much today except ziptied up some wires to clean it up some.

Still waiting for my exhaust to come and e-fans then I should be driving this damn thing.

I got my driveshaft on, and clutch bled today. I got to drive it around the block for the first time! it ran decent, still needs a bit of work. I really couldn't drive it too much since I didn't have any kind of cooling fans on it. I didn't run it into boost yet, but it feels smooth. Peter advised me to calibrate my tps, and i believe i will need to.

open downpipe - awesome exhaust note.

I should be driving the car by wed. if tophat ever ships out my downpipe...

so you get rid of the noise?
