I'm going to do a swap over winter and its not coming back out until I'm sure it will make that power number.

Some of plans.
CA18DET
GT2871r
3" Turbo back

Questions:
How much boost do you guys thing I will need to run? 15?
How big of a front mount do you think I should run?
What size injectors? DSM 550cc?
Anything else that should be brought up?

A GT2871r should hit 300 wheel I thought...Let me know if I should buy a bigger turbo. I want to get a FMIC this week for fab up purposes. What size do you think I should get to support 300 whp, not heatsoak and not cause a ton of lag.

Yes it can, a .64 A/R(IIRC) should yeild 350ish and an .86 A/R around 400ish, an eBay IC core should be good for 300(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-75...QitemZ320171422706QQihZ011QQcategoryZ33742QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Your biggest problem is going to be fuel management... You need something to tell the ecu you need more fuel at a certain rpm, or all of your winter investment goes boom. Some guys are good enough that they can use a wideband + SAFC to adjust it enough to make it run decent, but I would suggest some other type of piggy back at the very least. Lot's of people use the Emange Ultimate, and it is damn near a standalone as far as tuning capabilities are considered. So make sure to look into it.

As for the turbo, I would go with the gt3076r. 550cc injectors should do it, aftermarket fuel pump such as walbro or a tt300zx or supra pump, that intercooler is pretty small, but it doesn't need to be huge to be effective - I hope you know/are a good welder. The exhaust should be rather easy. All that would be needed is a custom dump and downpipe.

That should net you 300whp pretty easy on 10psi, but the turbo is big enough with additional tuning and some more psi, it could net 350hp if you ever choose to do so!

Well I'm at a point were my 300 is just what I want from this turbo. Next year I'm buying my buddies 35r. I also want internally gated for now because I'm sticking with the stock manifold. I am a good welder but I was told you can use an SR down pipe and O2 housing. Am I wrong? My exhaust is an Apexi Noir Catback.

So an SAFC won't cut it for fuel managemnt? Does Power FC work with the CA? I want to stay away from Emanage because everyone I know that uses it has bad experiences.

550cc injectors do sound like the size I should be going with so thats what I'll get. I plan on getting a Walbro 255 for a fuel pump and obviously a regulator.

stock o2 housing should fit, it may need some filing on the bolt holes though. maybe a little.
you can probably get a power fc for the ca if you look hard enough. just find one for a 180sx. as far as emanage ask bojangles.

Educate me on whats out there for these cars as far as tuning. I was going to do SAFC and some kind of chip but I wasn't sure if anything was out there. Thanks for the help.

why are guys suggesting enormous turbos for 300hp. gay. i hit ~220whp at 7-9psi with 450cc injectors z32 maf and a shitty tune giving me 13.0 af. on a gt28r. deet..300 will be no problem on this turbo. 2871 is good for 400. 3076 is good for ~500.

^^^ wrong screw piggyback systems when there is stuff like calumsult out there its all about the real time daughter board or full standalone stay away from piggy backs. emanage ultimate is the only decent one and its not that great especially since calumsult blows it away in price and usability.
