Finally I haven been able to post some of my progress! I've been real busy with school and getting the car put together! The RB looks sweet in the engine back, damn near factory!
DONE:
KA Yanked Out
Spilled Tranny fluid everywhere
Threw the stock radiator in the trash after finding a penny sized hole in it
Removed A/C, Power Steering and cruise control box
Removed what was left of my coolant tank bottle, and washer fluid bottle
Pressure washed engine bay, painted it high temp black
Dropped Engine in, bolted up tranny mount
cussed at the turbo elbow because it's in direct contact with the steering shaft
ran wiring into the firewall and plugged everything in
Halfway mocked up intercooler, core is mounted, gotta cut out the hole for the drivers side and rig up a cold pipe.
To Do:
Figure out what I need to do with the wire haning off the KA starter - does it need to be on the rb starter because there is a spot in the lower harness for it to plug into.
Wire up reverse lights - KA reverse light sensor screw into rb20 tranny?
Fish up cold pipe on intercooler
Mount Mishimoto Radiator
Wire up elec fans
Hook up relays and ECU
check wiring
Prime motor
start it up
cuss at it because it wont start and look at the obvious fix 100 times and get fustrated some more, then have one of your friends hold up a loose ground after looking for 5 seconds and fire it up!
and of course add oil and coolant.
Blue, Black and chrome is the SEX!
