ok, heres the deal. I live in southern Nj and I need at least three places in the area that I can not only buy an sr20 from them, but they will also install it also. I also need it to be around or under $2500. I dont know if i can actually find such a place but my dad is sort of a penny pincher and need to find someone who can do it fairly quickly also. Can you help me?:1bowdown:dancingwt

Not for $2500 unless your in socal. Most shops on average charge around $3500. Go ask around in Importfanatix.com. Most of those guys are from the Tri-state area, they might be able to refer to somebody, but probably not a shop.

so you mean, $2500, for engine + install? doubt thats gonna happen around here... $1500 is about the starting average rate for the install at a shop. and 1 g aint gonna buy you a healthy sr. you could do it your self for $2500 tho<< with some car knoledge from some buddies.

Hate to break this to you the hard way, but if you/your dad is a penny pincher; you are into the wrong hobby...

random skimping
:nono Skimping should never be done on a engine swap or build that is MAINLY for power and speed. I love when douche bags try to do "budget swaps" on a daily driver and want it reliable. :12dunno:rotflmao

They deserve a 1 litre Geo.

i hate to break it to you but i can SKIMP in my building of a car and still make it as reliable as a 16 yr old car is going to be. Don't think just because your a VOLVO TECH that your god, and please leave the lecture for another.

The Volvo technician part is just proof at how professional and thorough I am when it comes to building or repairing. The God part has nothing to do with my work but rather how good I am at everything. :happyfing Have fun with your "BUDGET" swap... I'm sure it will look better than mine. :rotflmao

wow, your not modest at all; are you. :thumbsup
And you have fun sinking the money into a car, you could have used to put a down payment on a house.

Damn... good idea. Too bad I own a townhouse, three cars, and still have time to be a technician during the week and a fitness model. :gaylaugh:supercool Too bad Im not married huh?

yeah; but to bad you're gay:happyfing

my searching skills are superior, and your an idiot. Why don't you "go back and do it all over again"

This guys third suggestion is as smart as it gets. A car is a POOR investment and only if I could do it all over again.... I would have used my money for a down payment on a house. :tears

Good searching... too bad you dont know the whole story and ASSumed. $10k downpayment on a townhouse is nice but the $25k+ I put into my Nissan would have been even nicer and cut my mortgage in half.

As for being gay... thats childish. Good thing I have a g/f.
