My 1995 240 base has a OBD diagnostic port under the glove box on the passenger side. I've heard some 1995's run OBD I with some OBD II programming. I haven't heard for sure, so if anyone is positive, i'd like to hear the truth.

the way I put it is '95's had "early" OBDII

They started true OBDII in '96 on all cars. Not sure about the '95s but I don't think they had true OBDII though.

Thank you... that's the correct answer. And yes OBDII diag machines will work on the 95's.

So if i took off the oBD II compliance sticker or changed to a CF hood they wouldnt test it, if it was a 95 because what are the chances that the smog tech guy knows that the 95 240sx had OBDII righ???

want a minuate, if i did a R34 NEO RB25DET swap that is OBDII right because the GTR is? would the OBDII work with the Dianostic tool they have?
