Sup, My name is Dakota and I'm currently enrolled in senior year at High School. I'm 18 years old and still don't have my lisence, which is truly sad. I do not own a 240 but I plan on buying it for my first car sometime in May. I know very little about cars and I'm hoping to learn a lot from this forum. From the looks of it, I'm going to really enjoy being apart of this community and learn all sorts of new things.
Don't get me wrong though, I may not know a lot about cars, but I am obsessed. I will sit on this computer searching/watching car videos and stuff like that. I just don't really get the tech stuff on like the engines and stuff.
I am so excited to have a 240 sitting in my drive-way.

Honestly, find a good shop that does know allot about cars that wont rape you in prices and if you ever decide to go with aftermarket parts, get ones that dont require allot of attention to them to get them to work until you develope a good understanding on how cars work.

Since your not too much of an experienced driver, I would also recommend you get some tires that have great wet traction and to remember to drive the car with allot of respect when its wet. Trust me!
Oh, and enjoy some of Japans funnest cars!

Hey all! What's up? I don't own a 240 anymore, but I'm back in the market. I'll be buying in the new year with my tax return and bonus. Have a lot of plans to be disclosed at a later date, but for starters, some about me.
I'm 25 and owned a 240sx when I was about 20. It had one owner before me(my dad) and was babied it's entire life(California car)...then I got into an accident with it, like an f-tard, and totaled it by damaging the uni-body pretty bad...now I miss it and want another. More specifically, I'll be looking for one almost identical to the one I had.

1989 SE Hatch, Charcoal Grey, wingless, with perfect paint, perfect body and near perfect interior. Want it to be BONE STOCK!!! I know it's a lot to ask for, but I'm determined and not in a HUGE hurry. I want to be able to say I did pretty much EVERYTHING on this car! I just want a clean canvas to start on. Don't care about mileage as long as it runs solid...I'll be saving up for all the motor stuff, etc, so when it goes I'll be ready for the next step:)

I'll be lurking in the shadows for awhile doing a lot of research, learning how to do my project, with the occasional post when I'm lost, lol. Also hoping to meet some non-ricer 240sx locals in the Triangle area of NC. Take care and i'll be seing all of you around.

all it has is springs, struts, wheels, and tension rods so far. engine swap and upgrades more to come!

Hey. My name is Beth, but you can call me BA. I'm 21, a virgo, and I recently moved down to North Carolina with my family and fiancee. His name is Chris, he's 24, also a virgo, and he knows a lot more about cars than I do. Although, I am learning and learning fast. =P

Together we recently purchased a 1989 Black 240SX hatchback, currently all stock. Manual, as well.

We will be making all repairs and mods on this car together and have titled the project "Project Black Angel", hence the sn. Pictures can be found on the introduction thread I posted. We both will be using the emails and forums together under the same sn.

yo my names blake i go t a black 89 hatch with a tockico blues and eibach sports setup, currently in the middle of a red top swap and 300zx front brake conversion. greedy intercooler rs blow off, aem boost gauge\controller, and a couple other goodies after its running.

Hey everyone, i came to 240sxforums because i heard it was better than Zilvia. 80% of people on zilvia are noob-bashing tightwads that love to talk crap so i came here to try to escape that.

i drive a 1990 240sx hatch, with that rare champagne color, just started working on it a month ago and so far i have

Hello peeps and peepettes. I'm Jake. I have a 89 Coupe with a messed up ka24e (think it's blown rings or a busted piston... something along those lines). Anywayz. I'm interested in bettering my knowledge of 240s and want to build up my ka24e to it's max potential. I'm wanting to learn to drift, and ... quite frankly.. I <3 my 240... even after it went dead. One of the sexiest cars I've ever owned.

hi guys i am newbie i guess but i came here to find some good info for my newly bought 91 240sx fastback, I currently just finsihed a avenir swap into my NX2000 and had owned a 72 240Z with triple webers and old school enkei mesh rims. but i want too build a nice ass 240sx (S13) no body mods just suspension and then power and learn how to drift correctly and road course and a little bit of drag racing whatever is fun at the time....

dont most s-13s come with a s13 front end???? Your probably talking about the silvia front end though right?

heyooo!

Howdy my names Leo. I just bought a 97 s14 and am in the process of sellin my tC. I started taking my tC to the track and I realized I needed a RWD so I test drove the 240 that I bought and I handed the guy loads of money on the spot.

The car has Tein Superstreet Coilovers and some nice Falken tires, but thats it for mods. It handles like OMG. The thing I intend to look into mostly on this forum is sr20det or ka24de + turbo = ka24det right? I guess I wanna see whose had better luck. And see about some big brakes for cheap.

And I'm a drum n bass/breaks/house dj and producer from Baltimore, MD. And I study Philosophy, hopefully not for too much longer.

Just acquired '91 240SX, manual transmission, straight body, bone stock.

Plan to upgrade suspension for grip driving. Not so much interested in drifting or autocross as an end in itself. Too many real mountain roads around here to spend an extra minute in parking lots. That said, I do have three local racetracks and a few "skidpads' available for testing when I feel the need.

My other car is a normally aspirated Miata. Chassis mods are now mostly complete except a few weight-reduction items. Still need to delete soft top, audio, gut interior, install roll/door bars and a few braces.

Hope to convert 240SX into a more civilized canyon car with hardtop, windows, carpet, passenger seat, audio, heater, etc.
