ok i have a 300zx and this punk in town talken trash bout his 240 with the sr20det swap with k&n and i think catback and i have a idea of his hp rating due to research on the motor which should be round 210-220hp right? any ways he pulled on a mustang 5.0 by 2 car lengths and the stang had exhuast and thats bought it now is the 240 running right like does that sound about as fast as it should be in its current stage?

a bolt-on sr 240 would totally rape all over your car. he's prolly pushing like 300 to the wheels..

i highly dought that hes pushen 300hundred at the wheels cause he only pulled on that 5.0 by 2 carlenghts and there only 15.5 at best at the drag plus my cars runnen high 13's. what about the 1.8liter cadet's what those run? he might have that motor. plus the sr20det's bottom end is only good for bout 300 crank hp or so ive read on this forum.

also im runnen the z31 300zx single turbo 13 psi 3in turbo back no cat, k&n fmic no ac no smog, rebuilt motor 9:1 compression 5 speed, bout 250 hp 330 lb TQ

What year Z do you have? N/A or TT...or custom?
N/A Z's are butt slow because they are heavy and underpowered. Even stock TT are not considerably fast. I regularly attend Z meets with my friends who have heavily modified TT setups, and some barely compete with single turbo/lighter cars. That's not to say they are "bad" cars...but they definitely require more work and will power to be very competitive I think.

well that maybe be wrong like i said i have a z31 i know those cars not 240's. but about the 1.8liter turbo motor what do those run hp and 1/4 mile run stock? Oh ands just so im not wrong what is the bottom end on a redtop sr20det good for?Red tops and black tops are only sr not rb right?

with those numbers i wouldnt be suprised if a ka s13 with mild bolt ons beat u.. Z31 im guessing?? cool cars just weight a billion lb's

yes im sure a ka would spank me casue turboing those is instant 300hp at the wheels but he doesnt have a ka hes got a sr20det or a cadet(1.8l) again what do the 1.8liter's run in the 1/4 mile?

only Z i like are 350z. 300z's are trash in my department. they weigh too much. Almost like a 3000gt.
