Racing Seat and belts install?

Ok I'm going to bolt my racing seats and belts in this weekend. everyone says i should drill strait through the floor and use long bolts and nuts and washers (same with the belts) I wanna know is this the best way (aside from tacking them in) to do this if so how long would you say the bolts need to be to get through? any help would be appreciated thanks!!
also there Buddy Club Seats and NRG belts (cam lock 4point)

DO NOT MOUNT YOUR SEATBELTS TO THE FLOOR! if you do that and get in a crash you'll get spinal compression and say laters to your life (you'll be alive.... but in very bad shape). you need a harness bar in order to install the harness correctly! theres a thread specifically for harness mounting, search for it...
