i need to know if there is anything that i should do to my ka24de head. im building my motor for turbo and i just want to know is there anything that would help me out in the long run please let me know thanks

The heads actually pretty stout as it is. Flows pretty good so it could make power NA. Spend the money on rebuilding the bottom end with lower comp pistons, fresh bearings and maybe some rods depending on condition of the stock one. If you still wanna do something on the head, better springs would be the only thing I can think of so you can run some big ass cams.

  • Bore Ă— Stroke: 89.0 Ă— 96.0 mm (3.50393 in. x 3.77952 in.)
  • Cubic Inch Displacement: 145cid
  • Max power: 157 hp (112 kW) @ 5600 rpm
  • Max torque: 160 ft·lbf (217 N·m) @ 4400 rpm
  • Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves
  • Compression ratio: 9.8:1, 9.5:1, 9.3:1
  • these are some figures from wikipedia on the ka24de engine, like it shows the compression ratio is a little high for boost, you can run boost with that compression ratio, but like with anyone you are going to want to run higher boost, like fliprayzin240sx said i would worry about pistons if i were going to boost a ka24de

As far as head work goes (since you asked about it...) it really all depends on the amount of power, size of turbo, and CFM's that will be flowing through the head. A nice port and polish job could do wonders for your car if high boost and big turbos are your thing, or nothing at all if you don't push the limits. Same goes with camshafts and oversized valves... It really all just depends on what you have planned for your particular setup.
