I actually like it alot. I plan on doing a motor swap pretty soon but this little motor is pretty strong. I was recently driving a honda prelude Si and switched to this.

much much better!
really? wouldnt have thought that. what year prelude? i'm guessing a 3rd gen, cause the 4th gen ludes are pretty stout.

I had a 4th Gen Si (H23A1 DOHC Non-VTEC 160HP) and my KA24E S13 is definitely quicker. The Prelude weighed 2860 lbs with me in it. I'm 240lbs, BTW.

Clean S13. FBs have really grown on me.

yeah that is the biggest problem with a prelude(weight), mine was a 3rd gen with H23

I'm not sure on a motor yet though considering I'm 17 and dont have a large amount of income
I want something daily drive-able but able to beat up on some other cars

yeah, i know what it's packing. funny though, that you talk about weight. if the prelude weighed 2860 with you in it, then it was 2620 just car. my SE hatch weighs like 2780 or something like that. quite a bit more power in that lude. i think you're mistaken. not saying you are wrong, but i think you're a little too excited about that new 240. :thumbsup

*edit* looked up some various 1/4 mile times for stock ludes and 240's.. Si ludes are consistently high 15s, and the single slammer 240 is about mid 16's. driver's race?:gaylaugh

funny that the 3rd gen came with a b-series motor. and that's a hell of a swap.

I was just thinking, wait didn't the 3rd gen come with the b-series. I have a friend that wants to put the H23 in his civic, I told him I would help him but it is gonna be a hell of a swap. D16Y5 to H23A1 *thinks what have I gotten myself into*

Oh and hit enter between your image links, so that they go down the page instead of across. Lol

yeah. i mean, it's possible, but totally not likely. you have to change the cable shifter and all that crap. custom axles. hasport MIGHT make mounts. idk the particulars, though.

image links?

Haven't even started it yet, he wanted to start it this summer but, like you said, everything has to be custom.
yeah, any money that he would save by getting an H23 ove a b16 or b18c is offset by the fact that he's spending that money to put the H in there. honestly, if you're gonna go through the trouble, why not an H22? put some stage 2 cams and built head, bolt-ons, fuel and tune, and you'll have 200whp. and 8k+ rev range. lol :supercool

I don't know man. I haven't talked to him since snow started falling, and I have enough on my plate deciding what I am gonna do for a motor in the 240 and sourcing parts and such.

big mistake...sorry guys
my prelude was a 4th gen not 3rd my bad

but the 240 does seem to be a bit quicker?
seems to be cause you're excited about it, probably. lol. :rotflmao that's why we don't like "butt dynos"
