Would it be cheaper to juss rebuild and port + polish my ka engine and turbo it or juss do the sr20det swap? its about the same right? Not to familiar with the rebuilding part...

It really depends on where you source your parts and how much you end up spending. You need to find out more on the "rebuilding part" to give you a better idea on cost. IMO with what your asking....
KA24DE-T will cost more than SR20DET.....

KA24DET's are full of fuzzy logic and extremely technical engineering.
SR20DET's are a sure-thing. They work because Nissan made them to work.
Do what you want, I went the SR route.

A complete SR20DET front clip can usually be found for somewhere around $2,000. A cheap Greddy turbo kit, with a TD06 turbo, for the KA is like $2,800. That's just the turbo. Plus, the SR's are great engines.... the bottom end can hold up to somewhere around 500hp stock. Do what you want, but i recommend the SR20DET.
