I've always debated swapping a 2jz in the s13, but I feel like traction would be way too big of an issue. Are you running any other traction mods?
335's are a huge traction mod IMO ...

just my $.02

you can pick up a 2jz motorset for $4-5k iirc.... then your running costs with mounts and driveshaft.

^^ Agreed, but still at his horsepower range combined with the weight of a s14 I guarantee traction is a huge factor.

How is the r154 handling those numbers?
r154 handles 600-800 just fine.... when shooting for 1k or so thats when there is the need to step up to the v160.

of course with that power traction will have some issues no matter what size the rears are but 335 + adjusting the rear damper should help tremendously.

To the OP just curious, how much camber are you running in the rear to tuck those 12's

It really depends on what you are using the car for... Constant use/stress on a used r154 in the 800hp range is kind of pushing it.

Edit: I forgot to mention how much I love how flat the engine sits in the engine bay. Sweet pictures man. :thumbsup

pushing it but not beyond its capabilities. I'd certainly keep around a good r154 in the 800hp range (600-700whp range) until it breaks instead of just jumping to dropping 5 grand on the getrag 6 speed (v160)
yep thats what we do, in nyc the're like $400 when ever u seen an extra one grab it up. So far havent seen an r154 brake in a 240sx
