Yeah, I was coming home from school in the deep areas... with the "bubble" of tread coming out of one tire and cord on the other.

The car didnt make it home in one piece... I think I`m gonna sell every last piece of 240sx related material I have and move on. It`s not their fault, it`s mine, but that`s just it. Me + 240sx`s = making impractical decisions (heretofore, at least). It`s time for that to change.

btw... link If it hadnt been for the power pole, I wouldnt have hit anything at all. Kinda pisses me off... but not as much as my preventable tire situation which would have kept me on the road in the first place.

Omg, Shan finally came to his senses. :D

Btw, APC 'racing seats' = crap.

You know how when you drive through a puddle, the car pulls to one side? Imagine if the whole highway was like that and your rear tires are completely bald. One of them was actually past that point and was half tread-less, it shouldnt have been driven on at all but... that`s the point I`m making about getting away from that kinda thing.

So I`m coming around the 59N-to-79 offramp and I figure if I just stay slow in fourth and keep the throttle steady, there wont be a problem. The problem was that with that much water on the road, and my little bit of tread on the one tire, I couldnt hold the road for crap. I`m no stranger to handling the tail coming out but this wasnt like any drifting experience I`ve ever felt. I`m guessing it was because the revvs were so low from being in that high a gear at low speeds but all I felt to warn me was that sort of "lightness" that the car gets when the rear lets go and starts to rotate. So my instincts do what I always do in that situation which is countersteer and let off the gas but this was so much more sudden than what it`s like to drift intentionally. I was backwards before I knew what had happened. I dont know how far I slid backwards but I felt it rotating back to straight and I would`ve come out ok if there hadnt been a light pole right off the road. The car caught the pole right in front of the driver`s door mirror. The pole then landed on the roof, shattering the rear glass, cracking the windshield, and obviously, leaving a cylindrical dent down the middle of the roof. Surprisingly the sunroof doesnt look damaged but the most important damage is that the left front fenderwell is crushed in around the wheel so closely that it cant spin freely. I must`ve instinctively clutched in when I was backwards cause I remember sitting there afterwards for a minute just stunned, then realizing the car was running and turning off the motor by key. Near as i can tell the motor is fine cause when I got the car in the driveway back home, I started it up and tried rolling it backwards and forwards under its own power.

I have considered swapping over whatever I need to to make the green car run but honestly, I`m afraid that if I get into another of my 240s I`ll be tempted to burn the tires off of it again and someday get into another situation like this one or worse, like the first time (which was caused by intentional drifting, btw). The weird thing to me is that it seemed like I rarely ever slid the purple one around... I think the combination of open diff, with massive negative camber and toe in were what caused that tire to wear out so quickly. I wanted to get it aligned but... eh... now what do I do? I`m thinking of something like an Integra or Civic to keep me out of trouble.

You know, just STFU!, I don't give a fuck if they're crap or not, I just got paid to do my job, and that was find some kind of material that matched his APC racing seats and recover his rear bench in his 240 with it.....

Big fucking whoop, so I spelled 'racing' "rasing", my bad! :smacked49

So if anyone needs auto upholstery done just send me a damn PM.....

I think I get my car back today. It had a bad fuel pump, wiring short, oil leak on the block, diff leak I think at the output shafts, and now needs a major service in 2000 miles. But I don't have that textured leather than BMW puts in everything nowadays so it is all okay.

Sean that sucks about your car. Integra FTW...too bad the LS is gutless though. Well I guess gutless is relative. Mark had a 96 Civic that was unbelievably weak sauce. Had like 48hp and 6.4lb/ft.

man thats sucks to hear about the purple car. you realiaze that this is the third s14 your had a wreck in including gregs. you really put a mean one on them when you do it. im sure you will find something more suitable for you though. no worries it all works out in the end.

APC does suck and so does typing in different colors. nice job on the seats though.

Had like 48hp and 6.4lb/ft
hahaha thats about the right ratio of power to torque

Cody, chill out kid. I didn't even pay attention to the fact that you mis-spelled 'racing'. I said "racing seat" b/c APC seats are far from what a true racing/track seat is.
I was considering talking to you guys about wrapping my center console and gauge hood in leather or vinyl, but not w/ that attitude.

Shan, that wreck sounds strangely similar to mine back when I had that S14....except w/o the rain and spin out. Good luck selling all that stuff. I was going to start selling a bunch of my stuff, but I may just hold onto it all until the economy pics back up a bit (i.e. March/April) and then post it. In the meantime...I need clean it all up....and get the S13 running. Been slacking on b/c of all the rain and lovely weather we've been having.

Sorry Alen, I was just having a bad day/night, cause I spent over 4 hours searching for something in high detail about a build that I was thinking of doing, that I could never find...

Then when I finally posted a question on it, then I get jump for "This has been answered over and over again" and "you're not searching"...

Later on someone finally gave me FULL details on it and somone else gave me a link, so then it made my night better.

Sorry, just give us a call later on... (Whenever)

It'll be a while, but ok. Still gotta move, pay for books and crap for class, and figure out how to maintain my hours at work....yay.

yea todd. now that is the "upgraded leather" to have the non-textured stuff. i dont remember the cost. prolly like a G or something.
Yeah I think the new M cars get it. I know the silver with red (really two tone black with red seats/door cards) M3 Sedan tonight at the dealership had the smooth stuff. It was nice and only $62,875. I think I will rock out my little raggity M.

Got my car back. Fuel pump relay that apparently I couldn't find, right side fuel pump, and a constant pressure valve in the block.

Now I am down to the leaking pinion seal on the diff and my Inspection II coming in 2525 miles.

To trade or not to trade, that is the question.

Florida won!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!
GREAT game. However........ACC refs SUCK. They gave both teams lots of yards by spotting the ball in the wrong spot, called some BS penalties and for some stupid reason....didn't call the "horse collar" on that Sooner. Oh well, SEC adds another National Title to the stable. ROCK AND ROLL!!!! hahaha

Well, I finally ran the original wiring harness in the S13. All is hooked up except for 3 little plugs on the back of the head. Not sure where they go, but I didn't really look much for them. Now I just need my $12 MAF cone filter adapter to come in, go buy some gaskets, and put the non-HUD dash back in.

And I would buy all that stuff now....but I just spent $400 on books and lab fees for class...which starts Monday at 1pm. WOOT!!!!

Yup. Can't go full-time yet. 1. I don't have the money saved up, and 2. I'm about to move, so I need spare time between work and school. Oh, and my GPA sucks b/c I partied too much and wasted too much time/money on g/fs. Thank God I'm single now.
