Well it leads to a moral dilemma. You see in my hometown the drag strip is S%$# because of overactive "Tech-Nazi's" who would turn away just about any car that wasnt made strictly for dragracing, so those of us who want to race are left with 3 choices; drive 2 hours to another track, wait untill next spring when the new track will be finished, or drive 15 minutes to wallmart or another big lot and you probobly all know the rest. It is not that i perfer "Street-Racing" it is more like its all I have. Plus the area we use is off the beaten trail and with the number of cops we have in our town there is no need to worry.

You'll most likely blow the welds on the intake, or worst case scenario fry the piston rings. I'm sure the mad scientist can rip apart the block and replace them for you tho, so that's good news.

And when your tag team racing against some muscle cars for pinks, make sure you save the spray for the way home. :gaylaugh

First i would love it if we could get back on the topic of using Nitrous (note i said Nitrous not NOS) on the KA24 motor, I am trying to see if anyone outhere has anysuggestions for me Thanks. Now for all those ricers who instead of helped tried to make fun of me the rest iss for you.

Well MIKETHEBIKER congrats would you also like a pat on the back or would you rather me send you a cookie.

Oh and BTW cops usually dont pull u over unless you were doing somthing stupid( its kinda in the law) so dont blame me for your own stupidity.

Plus I dont understand why the instant i say that i have been known to run on the street I am instantly reduced to the level of noob. I know plenty of racer around here that do it simply because from oct-march there are no tracks open within 6 hours. So for all of you people who have nothing better to do than make retarded F&F references :happyfing:happyfing:happyfing haha guys real funny its nice to know someone enjoyed that overhyped piece of S&$^ they called a car movie. :happyfing:happyfing

your are not being reduced to the level of a newb
you are being reduced to a guy who street races

and gee man, think if everyone raced lincolns, cops would be watching me as i drove by? NO

and as far as your, "experience with nitrous" question.. what doyou want to know specifically?

nitrous is nitrous, it does one thing. more combustable gas for more hp. Anything can happen to a ka that can happen to any other engine. it add more power, and you could blow up your car... sweet i just answered your question

Due to my experience with many makes domestic and import I, as any real car guy should, know that different engines respond different way to nitrous. All I wanted to know is if anyone has had and if these engines respond well to it.

also i wouldn't expect a very good response when your opening statement is "I am not an idiot so dont try and tell me how it works."

dude.
its gonna give you more hp. your gonna go faster. if you use too much/too long your gonna cook some pistons or blow your head.

WTF is "responding well"
do you wanna know if a 50 shot is gonna give you 50 hp? do you wanna know if its gonna blow up? ask somethign more specific

Stock bottom end ka. I dont know if it had cams in it but, he had a thread about this on ka-t.org (smc-racing's car). He had made over 100 passes with this engine and the only thing that ever happened was that he burnt one valve. Nitrous is one of the safest ways to add power however like most power adders its all in the tune.
