Update: Rule of the game is...DO YOUR PROJECT YOUR SELF...don't let someone else touch your shit unless your there with them helping out and doing most of it your self!

the thing that fuels this anger fire...is everyone on their Ego high horse, didn't seem to get how to fix it...or better yet, even know how to help out on this forum (certain people online).
So please, if your going to act cocky on here or anywhere make sure you can back up that ego with knowledge, not part numbers.
I saw it in paintball, so please, if your going to be a dick, go sit in a corner and stroke your own ego.

To those who did help out, 240UniMog from atlanta, steve from atlanta, tommy, and eli from savannah, thanks for your help.
Special thanks to 240sxunimog and steve! you guys really wrapped your thoughts around helping me solve the wiring issue in the engine and the chasis.

Well I redid everything MYSELF...no TP. he was stumped...i gutted the dash harness wired like he thought it was below from a old Viper system...

that didn't start her...

so i checked the fuel pump...NO HEATER COOLANT HOSE CONNECTED, no lower harness connected, no alternator positive and negative connected, the grounds were all no connected right...THEY WERE REVERSED...(the list goes f***ing on)

there was NO fucking fuel pump filter PLUS NO LEVELER (so that trek back to Maryland...I WOULDN'T HAVE FUCKING KNOWN IF I HAD FUEL...WELL WHOOPDIE DOO!)...then i said "well there has go to be a fuel filter hooked up at least at the front right?"...check that...NOTHING...

Basically...if the car would of turned over, the rust on the bottom of the tank would have KILLED my motor...GREAT!

so then i check the fuel LINES...they are reversed...

Still...the fuel pump doesn't go off, so i bypass that, hook it up to the dash...

turned on the fuel pump separately...still nothing...

rechecked the voltage on the injectors...they were firing...ECU was getting power

hmmm...

so i took a look again at the harness...

turns out the harness SWAP Ike was suppose to do...didn't do shit other than extend some wires...the plug up...was never done.

So i cut the plug, rewired it...gutted EVERYTHING under the dash that wasn't needed wire wise...

cranked the car...BAM...turned over...

so after 40...maybe 50-55 hours of work on my car being a TOTAL noob at this...I got my car running...not some tech that says he knows his stuff, I got the stumped look for months by them...nope...just me. Fucking finally...14 months of waiting...i spend 3 days hooking up fuel lines back in the right place, doing the wire harness my self in rewire (thanks to FRsports.com's wire diagram) and a ton of other stuff like gutting the wiring, rebuilding the fuel pump, etc...I finally did it.

Sorry, just pissed it took so damn long to do something that someone like me that knew NOTHING about it did.
Maybe i follow directions well. Still...when guys who do this all the time give me the "i donno man" look and i just follow directions, check for posts of parts failing, and do it...that is truely a kick in the face.

Kinda gives me a spin on things...

My actually job is on a private forum called The love of JDM • Index page
here is a couple photos of what was wrong...i didn't take all of them before i fixed them...but i got some...

Oh yeah...the lower harness wasn't even connect, nor the alternator...dude i lost track...

I think i just gave up on it all when i said that the ECU pin out for a J4 was different from an E5 and it was like i was talking french to the guy who did my harness...AND HE DIDN't EVEN HOOK IT UP...WHY DO PEOPLE PAY THESE GUYS...nm...I am gonna leave it to the fact of that is it done.

Sorry this is in a bad mood post...but i am tired...EVERYTHING was ass end backwards done, I just spent forever looking on links finding out what to do, why i was having problems...it was a lot of work...2-5 hours of sleep a night if i was lucky...
now she is done...she is running rich...i gotta get a SAFC module for it...maybe get the turbo T28 i was looking for...

lastly, she blowing out black smoke...could be bad oil...i think i remember hearing about a gasket being kinda bad on her, so i have to check that with checking the turbo. if the turbo is good...the gasket is cheap...my car is running rich...but IS running is the key word...i will do a suspention check, motor check, cooling check drifting her and seeing how she responds to abuse and...

THEN DRIVING HER 10 HOURS TO MARYLAND...sigh...not up for that.

For a Noob...
Harness (10 hours) trouble shooting, voltage checks so i don't FRY the harness

fuel line fix (6 hours) including bypass fuel pump, ecu check that the fuel pump is getting relay, pulling out and cleaning it, replacing parts, fixing reversed fuel lines, etc.

lower harness, electrical to the inside dash (9 hours) lot of little things, like gutting under the steering column of the viper system, cutting out random fog lights, alarms, extended wires to no where

brakes plus suspension clean (4 hours) little things, like one brushing needed to be replaced, brakes were rusted up and locked up, still working on that...doing the end result probably of the whole job being 4 hours

random sh** (5 hours) from fixing the door locks to wiring up and zip tie stuff i can't remember

total

F*** u kids who think you know everything..sorry...prove your shit...I hate saturday night meets...to many cocky assholes who have shit done by someone else.

this proves...you got the will power to do that shit...you can do it.

other then plugging in the injectors...i connected the harness and rewired it, connected the lower harness, gutted the internal dash wiring and rewired it, and OH so much more, so much i lost track...

A guy (me) who doesn't know shit about cars basically (other than how to change oil, little stupid stuff), I know computer wiring, that is it...

3-4 days and she was done...basically starting out just as if the motor was hooked up with the chasis...

dude i don't understand half the shit this says. but ok. rock on.
don't understand how? is there anything i can clarify? anything that i have learned that I can help out with?

unlike some on this forum and locally, i am here to spread the knowledge man, i still don't know a lot but i sure as hell will tell you everything i do know.
I can go over step by step anything that needs to be clarified, i wish i had more pictures, i will see if i have more if you need them.

i am swapping over all my stuff to a Silvia S13 (real one) in August so i can give more details on that via photo if you need anything.

Just do it your self, you can have a friend there, but do it your self. If the fuel pump would have worked, like i said...it would have sucked rust into my engine and would have BLOWN up my motor...my new baby.
So learn your self. get some buddies that know their stuff but would prefer you to do most of it, and HELP out...not do. Give your self a lot of time and extra $$.

Royal purple has not done me wrong so far with my older car...though i prefer Mobile 1 for my engine oil...it seems to respond well to long term abuse.
it seemed to make my friends Porsche twin turbo (800 hp), Honda S2000 w/ Vortec Supercharger, and the Subaru STI perform the best, little difference, but noticeable. I like the Royal purple though for tranny fluid...it has been the fluid of choice for my tranny since it was built and owned by my friend in Japan in the military...so i am not changing that a bit.

links of the Honda below...

we all use mobile 1
