The RB engines run a bit hot under the 240sx hood. Overheating is a common problem. I would suggest going with the fans, but if you can notch your radiator support wall you can get the room to do both. Before I did this and ran a smaller radiator/fan setup on an RB20 and it overheated a lot. Now I did it right and my RB25 does not overheat at all *knock on wood*
i have a set of flex-a-lite for the s chassis.all you will need is to install a speed controller.thickness as nothing to do with cooling.for all cores are one inch or so.All they do is ad heater cores.what cools is the fans and dimention.for top hp C&R has good radiators.before you go to ebay and check out the use nascar rads check your power goals.Don't cheap out on fans man.they are the most important parts in cooling.
i have one 12 inch fan from orilies.(60.00 for a 12 inch) as this overheating problem is kinda current.
make sure you flip the fan blade to the air pulls from the radiator(towards the engine).
i used a cefiro front crossmember so i can only fit one fan on the inside(between the engine and the radiator) iam still trying it out but i might have to get a 2nd one and mount it on the front of the radiator.
also pick up a cx racing aluminum overflow tank.(cause it gets too hot under the hood for the oem plastic one.)
I heard the tauras fans work well, I notched my rad core and got a twin flex-a-lite. Last thing I need down here in Florida is my car overheating, and its hot down here more often than its not. I agree cooling is a major concern, especially if you plan on upping the power.
