1.5 steering ratio to all other 240's 2.5 ratio...

on a stock 240, you have to turn the wheel 2.5 times left or right to get full lock...

with a HICAS rack (which bolts in any chassis) you only have to turn it 1.5 times left or right to get full lock...

fast fucking steering ratio FTW

no way in hell is it 3.1 turns...

when i was replacing my steering wheel i was screwing with the SRS ribbon spool (out of the car) and from full lock to lock, it was 5 turns either way, it's how i had to find center so when i replaced my wheel, i didn't fuck it up... and I'm 100% is was 2.5 from lick to center.... at over "3" turns, it would be 1 whole turn past what a OEM S14 can do. in effect, putting stress on your SRS ribbon, and potentialy blowing your bags as you turn that extra.55 to lock..... although i can be ABSOLUTELY certain that a HICAS is only 1.5 turns, i do know for a fact it's less than a non HICAS

(i always wondered if you viewed my build threads)

SO... due to recent problems, and some money making, i went ahead and bought some parts to fix and upgrade my turbo and cooling set up.. everything's ordered and should be here before the weeks up....

OEM Exhaust manifold gasket
OEM turbo to manifold metal gasket
S15 Spec R T28 compressor and exhaust housing (i know the comp housing is an upgrade for a GTIR turbo, not sure on exhaust w/divider..)
S15 Spec R waste gate set up
S14 ARC cooling panel (traded GReddy suction kit for it)
Circuit Sports stainless steel oil and coolant lines

so once all these parts are installed, i need to save a bit of money and head my ass back to Z Fever, and let Martin finish tuning this bad boy.... should make more power by upgrading the compressor housing as well...

i decided to go with the OEM manifold instead of buying a new one... as the OEM does flow REALLY well, and it's affording me the $$$ to upgrade other stuff and get new gaskets and shit.....
