which of the KA engines have the most torque with a turbo set up?

I say get the ka 4.4 and get a stroker kit and get that bitch up to a 5.0.

LMFAO
But really you do need to read up. Your best bet will be to use a ka24de. I think it flows better 2 smaller exhaust valves are better then the one bigger one some one told me I have no facts to back it up or to discredit it.

5.0 240sangx is an epic waist of gas lol

as to the op we try to avoid threads such as this one by setting rules. so just research your ass off then if you have any specific questions search the tech section.

obviously I don't know much about turbos that's why I'm asking so I get other people's point of view.
I like the KA engine's but I don't know what affects a turbo would have on them.
I ask this question because I worked with Honda engines for a while and I know that a non-vtec engine can hold a better PSI then a vtec, and I was wondering if the KA engines have anything similar that the valves would have affect on.

Ok I don't know shit about turbo but ka24e or ka24de I'd go with the de Bigger aftermarket cheaper parts. It don't mater what one you get we don't have vtec or any thing like that. I think every one will tell you go de or do what ever you want. I'm the biggest fan of the e i have one and love it but with going turbo I'd go de. on a side note i want to get a real job and get a supercharger for mine.

I know it probably pisses you off, but you do NEED to do some research about the motors that go in this car.

First you need to learn what the motors for this car are capable of in their stock form. And decide what direction you'd like to take the vehicle as well. If you have the money and time, the sky's the limit. Import DPS even built what's consitered to be the most powerful KA in the world making over 1000hp.

Also keep in mind there's more than just KA and SR. There's also VG and VQ, from the Z32 and Z33. Both increadible engines.

We're not telling you to do your reaserch to be rude or nasty or acting like you're a noob or something. We tell you this 'cause there's so much information out there that's been posted over and over, that it's not only a pain in the ass to repeat it over and over, but also because there's too much info to just casually be posting over and over. Books of info even.

A good start is in the builds section in the multimedia part of the forum. Quite a few different directions. And don't limit yourself to this site, Google had a plethora of information out there just waiting to be used.

I have done research on the engines I was thinking about a VQ swap for a while but I don't want to spent that much money on just swapping the engine. I want a stock 240sx for a while but I would want to buy the engine that has the most torque for the turbo I put on it. I also don't want to do a SR because I won't want to swap engines.

so what if I asked; for a KA24E engine what kind of turbo would I want?

Either KA will have similar torque. The stroke and bore are identical, the head is the only difference. I have a KA24DE in my barn and a KA24E in my car. I got a free KA24E shortblock that I'm planning on rebuilding with the money I get from selling my DE and putting my very recently rebuilt ported and polished KA24E head on the rebuilt short block. I like KA24E because its already in the car and is only down ~10-15 horsepower compared to the twin cam. I say run whatever the car comes with. I'm keeping KA24E because its cheaper to get a custom cam for and I just like the sound of the larger exhaust valves slamming shut compared to the two smaller valves in a DE.

Fuck it man, Theres no point. Comparing the two is like trying to decide between having sex with Carmen Electra or Jenna Jameson. Jenna would be more likely to put out (much like how the KA24E is the most likely S13 power plant going by the numbers that were produced) but Carmen would be worth the wait (just like how you'd have to spend more time/money on getting a KA24DE). Take your pick.

I mean dont get me wrong the KA makes lots of trq. for a 4 banger but it sounds like a V8's what you want...
Boo, that's all we need is another v8 bastard swap.
