Not too far north (a few hours) is the Smokey Mountains. And if you want beauty mixed with twisties and mountains you can head up there. I get to drive over them on my way to where my new school is. It's a great experience.
Sorry, guess I should have said I was talking about FL and not TN in my previous post, lol too much of it could be read both ways.

Great thread! Didn't read all of it but flipping through 24 pages and reading most of your post's was enough for me lol. Your next upgrade (if you don't get the s14 silvia) should be a bucket seat! If you've never driven/drifted with one you'll notice a HUGE difference.

I had one question though. Why did you decide to go with nistune? I was thinking about going with a nistune system but decided to pay a little bit more and get a Power FC Djet and personally couldn't be happier. Also how are you liking the nistune?

fist off, thanks for the great comment bro, alotta heart, money, blood, sweat, and unhappy girlfrind time went into this car...

as for the NIStune, i did a lof a reseach before buying it (at the suggestion of Tim K), and found it was morn modern than Calum RT, and was the next best thing to a real time data logging stand alone ECU... the system is overall AMAZING.. i love it... my car runs like a dream... the tuner spent 5 minutes with it, learning the key commands and next thing you know, his hands are flying across the keyboard on my lap top while on the dyno...

amazing stuff, and comes with more features, i can read fault codes on ANY Nissan, reatime feedback on what the motor is doing, consult display for my own trouble codes... the list goes on and on... the ONLY thing i that seperates it froma stand alone, is it doesn't support MAP sensors.. you have to use a MAF.. but can load in anyting from a SOHC maf, to a ford cobra MAF, on the fly...

other than that, it has EVERY feature a Haltech, AEM EMS, of those other $1000+ units have.. for only $433 shipped express airmail... (at that time of AUD to USD exchange rate)

i would buy it again, and again, and again, and will recommend it to anyone... i personally wont have ANYTHING else in any Nissan i own...

Thanks for the reply! And that's pretty cheap! When I was trying to decide between a nistune system and a power fc a shop wanted to sell it to me nistune for $600-700. I thought about it and came to the conclusion to just spend an extra 300 and get myself a power fc djet. The majority of my decisions came down to me not wanting to run a maf, if something were to ever happen mid drift like an innercooler coupling blowing off my car wouldn't shut off on me sending me into a wall, and also just having control of everything on the fly and being able to monitor knock, water temp etc etc. I also spent the extra money and got the boost control add on.

But again you've done an awesome job with your S14, I'm sure your the envy of almost all 240 owner. I'm also going to be picking up a set of Rota P45R's except of 18's in bronze, I love the way they look with the concaved style! One other thing if you don't mind me asking. Can you take a picture of your front wheels from the side? The reason being is because I want to see how far back your front wheel sits. When I got an alignment I also had them do 7.5 caster but when I drove with 18's they rubbed the back of my wheel well and I think they fucked up when doing my alignment.

.... I'm sure your the envy of almost all 240 owner. I'm also going to be....
ROFL

Haha, envy of almost every 240 owner my ass....ROFL

I hate to throw in a haterade wrench in the gears, but Im here to keep BZ's head from imploding from getting so big. Either that or it just wont fit in his JDM drift helmet on sunday.

I would run NISTune... but I'm going to be using a motor that isn't in a Nissan... hmmmmmm...

You will love it my friend. I promise you that haha.

Hells yeah son! I can see a HUGE difference between this event and the last event. Keep it goin' man!

Holy shit, Marshall!

You're competing in events now!? Congrats man.

Things seem to be coming along great man, I'm envious.

Don't sell it, though. You've got waayyy too much time/money into that car. Like everyone else said, it's about as close to a Silvia as it can get. RHD isn't worth the money you'd have to pay, and the feeling of loosing something so nostalgic.

Nice vid at Desoto, man. What song is it that you used, btw?

I'm still rocking the s14, sadly. All 210k miles of it. But, it's coming along and growing on me slightly. Here's a vid of me and my friend having some fun, it's a bit long and repetitive but oh well, the cop part is pretty epic.

Just figured I'd stop by since you're not on HSVD anymore (don't blame you).

Be easy man.
