Hell, yeah!! :thumbsup where in Florida?

It bolts up just fine...I didnt have any issues...the real issue was dropping the engine in at the right angle. You have to keep your eye on the power steering lines underneath, the firewall, your oil pan and the sway bar clearance, and the transmission. I just did this like 4-5 days ago so I'm pretty proficient on dropping SR's into S13's now, lol

stimracer: installin s13 SR into a S14... do you have any tips on dropping the engine in? right now the engine is sitting on the subframe but the i am having such a hard time getting the engine mount bolts to line up to the subframe holes!! it's like an inch away.. but i can't get enough of an angle to make it drop in straight to the hole....ahrhg

it's chained up like this on the hoist but it's not even enough to get it to the holes..is there any other way i can' mount the chain to the engine to get it to sit right.

i have a hard time getting it near the firewall. i ended up taking out the front bumper and everything just so the hoist can go further in..

right now it's verrrrrry close. closer than what than what is in the picture but still very far..

does the tranny need to be tilted a certain way? car jacked up in the rear? front? etc?

neone else here have input about experience?

Yea the swap in itself is easy but everyone has their own little issues along the way. Its been a year since july '08 when i began the swap and guess what.. it still aint runnin right. $3000 extra spent. yea wiring, no, more like all the bad parts u gotta replace. first problem i had was 3 bad coils..oh yea not cheap, then mafs, o2, ignitor chip, ect ect....
if yer gonna do the swap, make sure u have all that u need, a few buddies prefferably someone that has done the swap and internet access. GOOD LUCK!!

It's really really easy, and there's a simple "here is EXACTLY what you cut, and here is what you splice it with" write-up on frsport (I think that's the site, I dont remember).

Seriously, the sr swap into the s chassis is super easy. My only advice is go to sears, and buy a 150 piece mechanic's tool set and crescent wrench. Outside of a hoist and jack stands, that is basically every tool you will ever really need to work on a 240. I've done 3 s chassis swaps/ka installs, and the s chassis is the easiest import I have ever EVER worked on. I pulled the ka24de from my s14 and put the rebuilt ka back in it in 2 days by myself under my car port. Just be patient. Iif you run into a hard time and get pissed off go work on a mazda rx7 motor for a while then come back to your 240 with a smile on your face.

I think in talking to a few people on the subject that the cutting and lengthening of wires is the big intimidation factor. Of course I live here in hillbilly nation and since the SR has no carburetor... well you can figure it out. I can't say from personal experience however. I have a few more months before I get to embark on the beloved swap-should be fun!

Im in the middle of my swap. I have ABS and hicus on my s13 and its giving me trouble getting the wiring harness out cause the main ABS unit is right infront of the hole. Other than that it seems like its going to be easy , just have to take my time.
If you pull the ABS unit it makes life much easier! 4 lines and a few bolts and it is out. Make sure you take the bracket it sits on out also. If I remember correctly, I also had to pull the windshield wiper motor on that side too. But it makes running that harness sooooo much easier.

Cheap hoist

If your looking for a cheap hoist go in any auto magazine motor trend, modified mag, import tuner, or road and track there will be a coupon for the same hoist from harbor freight for $99.99 there is almost always a coupon in those magazines.
