Ok update time. I got it to idle, got the swirl pot hooked up and no overheat RB :). Still having a little tuning trouble :(. The exhaust isn't hooked up yet because I had to get my down pipe redone so I hit the dyno open down pipe. Bla Bla Bla here is a Vid and the dyno sheet. more troubles to iron out but getting way closer now.

You're making really good power, but it looks like the turbo's taking a bit to spool. I do love that sound tho...

BTW, I think I beat all of you for NRRB club. It's been at least 3 years since mine has run, and a good 2 years since it had run before that. Probably another year or so before I get back to work. Do I give up? Hell no.

So glad to see you're still in the game and still killing it with this car man. Looks great. Such a nice thread to come back here (especially since I saw OOOLD posts of mine on the first page back in 08 lol) Keep us posted! Wish I could say I've spent all this time away from the forum building mine to keep up with you :(

I'm hanging in there fighting this thing. Using the Nistune with the Lightning Maf is giving me a hard time. I might just dump the nistune and get a Haltech because rom tuning should not be this hard lol.
Damn, I hate to hear that you're having trouble with it. Was hoping to use it on my next build. Guess I'll have to go haltech haha

Small note worthy update. I got my Grex lip installed and my new downpipe bolts up to my exhaust. OMG it's soooo quiet now. I hear my fan clutch and my too tight timing belt now.Ohh yeah rewired my fuel pump and installed my EVC4 that should help my lazy turbo lol.

Been trying to figure out the rom tuning and will prob be back on the dyno on the 24th of this month for a safer tune, I think I should be able to hit 410whp @ 8k.

My friends shop had a dyno day and I helped out till the end when I threw my car onto the dyno. I just wanted to set the boost controller. Well the EVC4 started to go crazy! and I was too tried to really trouble shoot the problem. 1st problem was that it was over boost like crazy! found the problem to that. Someone unpluged one of my vacuum lines to the wastegate!!!! grrr. Then after I got it steady I couldn't reset the boost controller to get it back into learning mode. I gave up because I was too tired and it was getting late. When I got home I found out how to reset the damn thing lol, On a side note it seems the changes to the rom are getting better it will rev out on low boost now. Don't mind the sound like he is killing my clutch lol. I never did adjust the clutch pedal and he wasn't use to it. Adjusted it after he left tho. Enjoy my boost fail vid.

Back from the dead, The car has been sitting for a while now and I haven't had the money or the time untill this weekend. The shop had a dyno day and I got on after everyone was gone. I had 2 main goals this time, 1 get the damn thing to use the whole map vs only half of the map and 2 to get my EVC4 working. Well mission accomplished. Got the car to use the whole map and the EVC is regulating the boost :). I didn't get much time to tune because it was sooooo late and we were getting ready to go home. I did a few passes @ 14psi to 8k and it was good A/F sucked it was rich in a few places and the timing and EGT's looked good.

I thought it might have been fuel cut or speed cut but everything was set up in the rom to cut that stuff out. I looked a little bit in the nistune logs and made a post on nistune where someone saw that my maf was hitting 5v fast before 7k :(. Looks like 2.75" piping for blow through is too small. I'll have to step it up to 3" then maybe 3 1/4 where I place the maf. It was good and bad it works someone what right. Also have to change a few coolant caps because the high desert heat made short work of the crappy ones I had on. I think I hit 389 this time @ 7k. If I had paid attention I would have upped the timing in the cells I was hitting. I ran off the stock RB20 timing map and it sucks lol.

Yet another small update. Had some work done on my car. Had the rear subframe bushings changed, Installed my R32 GTS-T LSD and Axles, Changed over my leaking fuel tank to a non leaking tank, had the Zbrakes installed and 5Lugs installed. Since the car is running @ 15psi I'm going to take it home and do some more work on it. Turns out my thermostat is sticking now :(. I have to pull the intake manifold now to change it sad times. I also got some R32 GTS wheels from someone for my stock S14 wheels. They don't look too bad either.
