Hey everyone. well after looking and reading through a lot of build threads it has encouraged me to start mine 
My name is Brandon, Im 18 and a senior in high school.(finally). ever since i could walk i have been into cars. I havent been handed hand outs or anything like that i have had to buy everything since that first year in detassaling/first job.
My first car was a 1990 Ford thunderbird SC (supercoupe)
-Posi rearend, 4.6 V6 Supercharged. aprox. 250rwhp automatic
sold it and the day i sold it the tranny went out.
My second car was a 1993 dodge shadow I took out reverse and OD on that and i busted a CV joint.
I sold it for $350
With selling the shadow I bought my 240
It is a 1992 Nissan 240sx Coupe 5 speed. paid $400
-when i bought it it had 203000 miles on it and ran like a champ!
now it has 212000 miles and is feeling it
Problems:
-Power steering hose leaks.
-bad ball joint
-miss firing(fixed cyclinder 1 had a bad injector. Luckily a buddy with a s14 had his stock fuel rail with injectors that he sold to me for $65)
-bad battery(fixed bought a new battery duralast top post, side post $85)
-sticky headlights
-e-bradke cable streched
-Broken upper timing chain guide(fixed removed it lol)
The Good:
1992 Coupe-enough said
Ka24de engine- great for a turbo build
brand new snow tires- great for snow lol if there is some tread left.
Purchased aftermarket parts:
-Oil change (x4) $25
-Cold Air Intake $60
-Strut Tower Bar $30
-Volt Sabalizer $20
-NGK Plugs $50
-NGK wires $60
-T04E XS Power .50 A/R cold side .63A/R hot side $75
-Power XS Boost Controller $25
-Complete Gasket set $50
-Airtex Waterpump $35
-import muffler for custom 3in exhaust $40
So total so far with car i have spent $950 roughly
My budget for the car is $2000-2500 with a 300-350 whp goal.
